    Good afternoon all

    How is everyone doing?

Well OH told me last night after a brief conversation with his dad that he got the impression they don't want the £10,000 back they lent us (as they have helped his brother out with buying his flat and his wedding)!!!!! So I have removed it from the formula which adds up our debt on my spreadsheet, I have left the amount showing in case OH was wrong/they change their minds. But for now it means our total debt has shrunk to £34,443.60 :) I am happy :) and also super happy as we should be able to get it into the £20's by the start of 2017 woo-hoo it doesn't quite seem to epic a task now!!!!

I'm still bouncing money around to clear our OD, we are still waiting for one card to come before I can finish it all off, so I am unsure if the new cards will need paying in May or if June is the first month for them, so I am holding off making a big overpayment to MBNA until I have the first statements in for the new cards

I LOVE our new heating :) I am hoping to see some gas savings this week when I read the meter's on sunday :)

I Hope you all have a good day xxx

  • We watched "The Red Wedding" I am DEVASTATED!!!! We are up to Season 4 Episode 1 now.

I am a GoT fan too and completely up to date and with everything that's happened between 'The Red Wedding' and these most current episodes, this episode is still the one that I am most devastated about :rotfl:

On the flip side, the happiest I have ever been in this particular series was Season 4 Episode 2, so you're almost there:j

    Afternoon all

I hope everyone is having a good day

Glorious sunshine here, it's amazing how nice weather makes me feel so happy lol

I sent OH to asda this morning as I spotted the salmon reduced yesterday, not as good as last night, but still good, £6 a kg, so when he came back he told me the drama he had when he was there, he took the whole salmon to the fishmonger to fillet and bone it for us, and the woman on the fish counter looked terrified lol, the fishmonger wasn't due to start till 12pm (this was 10am) and she didn't know how to do it. Just then the fishmonger was walking past doing his shopping, so he said I will do it lol pass my hat (bless him) so he said it would be five mins, OH did some shopping and went back to get it, and the fishmonger said the knife slipped when he was cutting it so one side looked raggy, then he picked up a whole side of salmon off the fish counter (prepared earlier) and said I will put this in as well!!!! So we ended up with a salmon and a half for the price of a salmon :) We got 14 massive portions for £17, LOVE a bargain and love salmon lol

I made waffles today, I have been wanting a waffle maker for ages, and my friend was selling a brand new never used one for £5 so we (me and the kids) made some waffles, they were delicious :) a big hit with everyone :)

Have a good day all xx

    Morning all (just lol)

    How is everyone getting on?

I've just overpaid the card with £60.50, which is awesome, but I really need to push to have it paid off by end of November, need to pay just over £300 a month now to have it paid off in time, I am due a bonus in July of about £300, I will be using it for school uniforms (I have two sets to buy this year) then what's left which should be £100 at least I will put towards the card, will be thinking of other ways to boost the money we can overpay, it should be able to have £200 a month at least but need to make up the shortfall somehow, I guess one or two months paying interest wouldn't be the end of the world, but I would prefer to not have to start paying interest on it.

Going to do my online shop for this week, then get DD some lunch

I am loving my new boiler :) we have gone from £20 a week gas to just under £7, which is awesome :) I know the weather has been better but it's still awesome lol

Have a good day all xx

    Morning all

It's been a while since I posted, we have been plodding along.

Trying not to get too down, as we ended up having to add to the debt in May due to unforeseen car repairs, so our total's were just over £400 more than they were at the end of April, it will probably take us June to get it back to what it was at the end of April, not the end of the world I know, but it does make me feel a bit meh.

Nothing else exciting has happened in the couple of weeks since I posted lol, I LOVE my new boiler :) we've gone from spending £85(ish) a month on gas to £39 this month on gas (and this month was a five week month as I do the readings on a sunday) so I am pleased we took the plunge and got a new boiler fitted :)

We are still having to put the heating on for a little in the morning and a evening as it's cold up here some days.

How is everyone else getting on?

I am excited for today, me and DS love the ninja turtles movies and the new one comes out today, I've booked a ticket for us both (using my free cinema tickets from my lloyds bank account, very mse) we will hit poundland before we go for treats, OH is going to take DD for a wander round the shops, she is only 3 and we don't think she will sit for the film quietly, and DH doesn't like the turtles (weirdo lol). I haven't told DS he's going to the cinema yet cos he would do my nut in with excitement lol

I hope everyone has a good bank holiday :) xx

    Morning all,

    How is everybody doing today?

Any nice half term plans? I don't have nice half term plans lol, chilling at home with the kids today, need to pop to my mam's help her move some things around as she has $ky coming tomorrow to fit multi room, and she just had a knee replacement so can't do it.

Washing and tidying and cleaning to do here pah lol

I splurged on a Amazon fire stick the other week (using vouchers of course) as we signed up to prime when it was reduced to £60 (I am loving it so far, love the next day delivery, early access to black friday, all the tv and movies, and music!!! I didn't know it came with music too!) so the kids are emjoying a film while I tidy up/do bills

Just overpaid the credit card we are now hitting with £114.80 whoop, feels sooooooooooo good to be able to throw a bit amount at it again at the start of the month, will continue with my weekly shopping payments, I have 4 shopping days this month so should be another £40 at least off that, plus the card's minimum of £40 :)

Should be able to pay at least £250 on payday/in July as I think I can pull the child benefit payment out plus we should have excess of £100 from our wages.

Have a good day all xx
