Oh that's good news.
I agree with you about swimming, sometimes it's worth paying a little more to get them learning quickly, or you can spend years with them not getting very far, and actually wasting money! It's a life skill after all, and worth the cost, I think.
Also, good news that the Tesco card is OK, and hopefully, even with the extra swimming cost, you might have a little extra soon to throw at the debt - the smallest overpayments do make a big difference.
I'm with you on the surveys, just using Swagbucks at the moment, but ramping it up everyday to try and get some extra Amazon vouchers for Christmas, it made a big difference last year.0 -
Thanks Golightly
Totally agree about the swimming, DS had his first 1-2-1 lesson yesterday and it was amazing already seeing how good I think they are going to be, by the end of the lesson she had him floating on his front in a star fish shape face in the water for ten seconds each time, it might not seem like a massive deal but in the nearly two years that he had group lessons he never put his face in the water. He loved the lesson and is so excited to go backI need to get some serious budgetting done though as his sister is 4 in April 2017 so I will need to find another £75 a month from somewhere so she can start lessons too, but I am not worrying about that yet lol
I am so relieved about the tesco card, I've worked so hard getting every single debt on 0% (other than B/card who are 6.9% for life) it would have been such a shame to lose the 0% on one of the cards.
I used to do loads of swagbucks but found I was getting to near the end of a survey and it was saying I wasn't eligible, but I know I am lucky as I get points for every OW survey whereas a lot of people don't they only get a prize draw entry, I only do mine on the days I am off work (4 days a week) and can usually get £7.50-£10 a week from them, and then I do shop and scan and food on the go, which gives me £10 every 5 weeks as well. There's 21 weeks till I would like my christmas shopping done by, so I should hopefully have at least £157.50 from OW and £40 from shop and scan, that's if I do actually force myself to do the surveys lol
What's everyone's plans today? not much going on here, it's raining (again) so a day indoors it is. I need to sort through the kids clothes and get rid of the ones that are too small, and I really should tidy the cupboard under the stairs if I can muster the energy lol. DS breaks up from school on wednesday lunchtime, so I need to start thinking of things to do in the summer holidays as well lol

Great news about Tesco, and I understand about the swimming lessons. The ones that I sent mine to when they were little were really expensive but they loved them and they really came in with their swimming.
You asked me about doing a diary.. I don't think I will do a diary, the pay and bills over here are very different to the UK, and I just don't think it will translate well, I love reading people's soa's, but if I put the figures that I send here for food etc.. Well let's just say it's a lot more expensive that uk food shopping!Formally liuhut

Afternoon all.
How has everyone's day been?
I had to go for a nap when OH got up at 10am, I've not been sleeping well for over a month, lucky if I get more than 6 hours a night, and even those 6 hours are broken with a few wake ups and a lot of restless periods, top that with the hayfever which has been going crazy the last few days, I am shattered, so I managed to get a couple hours sleep, I feel a little bit better for it, would much prefer a solid sleep tho, could even cope with just 6 hours if it was in a solid chunk.
DS had his second 1-2-1 swimming lesson today, it was totally awesome, he managed to float all on his own for 5 seconds, face down, which is great. She said he is doing really well, she needs to work on his legs a bit as he has got into a bad habit of kicking them in a cycling motion from his group lessons, I wish I had never taken him to the group ones now, but hey ho one thing they were good for is that he is confident in the water which she said is a good thing. Can really see progress already though which is amazing.
Freezer food for tea tonight, was meant to be home made pizza but I am being lazy and can't be bothered to make the pizza dough lol, once kids are in bed I will be chilling with OH and the tv and my cross stitch xxDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)
