Good grief - that's horrendous! Your poor boy...

I also hope that "J" gets some help, as he sounds like he needs it. I hope your son manages to distance himself from this boy and not be dragged down by him. I'm glad he felt like he could come to you with this. What a worry.

  • Oh my word. So glad that your son is mature enough to have asked for help and didn't just get dragged in. Hope J gets the help he so obviously needs. I wouldn't be worried about bumping into the parents. If they had no idea this sort of thing was going on, then actually you have done them a favour by bringing their son's problems into the open and getting him some help. He could have been having the same sort of conversations with other children, not just your son.

    I know poor little guy

Yes I agree, he definitely needs some help, I just hope his parents take it on board when the school talk to them and don’t try and brush it under the carpet. They are very laid back. But he definitely needs some support

  • How mature of your little boy. Hopefully the school will speak to the parents about the importance of it and get support if he needs it.

    Thanks Abba and Nicnak

We went to the school last night on the way home and dropped the things off, and we spoke to the head (who hubby had spoken too earlier in the day), they are going to support us in keeping them apart, they aren't in the same form class, and they only have PE together so that's ok, and he wanted us to keep him informed if there is any backlash. He was very concerned with the knife comments and the suicide comment, so will be calling in his parents. DS said he has actually been off school monday and tuesday, so I am not sure if he is in at all this week, still slightly nervous to bump into parents, but really I have done them a favour as they may not know about any of this, and he may really be hurting.

5 Days till CHB, 7 Days till OH paid, 8 Days till I am paid, it can't come soon enough lol

Possibility of overtime this weekend, I have my name down for both days, I hope it is confirmed as I will have 4 days extra pay on end of February pay.

Meant to say on Saturday DD got her 15m badge at swimming, she is chuffed cos she just got her 10m the saturday before christmas :) DS got his 200m badge the week before christmas, so lots of badges going on at the minute lol :)

I am working late tonight so I have chicken curry in the slow cooker, and OH has got a couple of Tilda rice pouches from asda (75p each which isn't bad)

Have a good day all xx

  • Well done for your children on the swimming badges. Such an important thing for children to learn how to swim at a young age. I wish I had done....I still hate water...well apart from cruising on it...:rotfl:

  • Great about the swimming.

I need to start using my slow cooker so much more, but I always forget. I will get more into it after this weekend when I have a weekend to get myself organised. x

I love swimming too :) I never go anymore though so it's only when I am on holiday lol

I do love my slow cooker, especially since I discovered slow cooker liners which saves on major steeping/washing up lol

I have been to cex and traded in our games that we no longer use, popped to wilko to get some more plastic tubs for freezing leftovers, and got the kids a tube of toothpaste each as they were half price to asda price (I then removed them from my asda shop for this weekend), and went to the post office to put our money in the bank.

I was straight on YNAB when I got home to allocate it lol, we now have £40 in our petrol section, and £79.84 in our food section (I am 90% sure my £18 petrol from overtime last weekend will hit the bank tomorrow as well) we have more than enough in the bank for this weekend now, so I feel a lot better about it :)

Annoyingly overtime for this weekend has been cancelled, one of the systems we use isn't available, you would think they would check these things out! So that is quite annoying.

I had booked monday off to catch up on housework but will be going in now, no need to waste some leave

Some washing and tidying to do, then need to crack on with my crochet :) it's a present and looks like I will be able to hand it to the intended person next week so I need to finish it lol

4 Days till CHB, 6 till OH payday, 7 till my payday :) yay xx
