Sounds like the shop n scan is right up my street. I'll take a look and see if they're recruiting for people. If you can recommend someone then Pm me :) don't know if it works like that!

Kids seem to be coming on leaps and bounds with their swimming! My two did well this morning too - my youngest just loves it! He spent 2 years watching his brother and not being allowed to start lessons so when he started at 3 he was proud as punch!

This is the website where you fill in your application https://www.volunteer4panels.com/ if you fill that in then they will email when they have spaces in your area/for your family size, it took a month or so for us to get accepted. It's very easy to do.

My youngest is like that :) she has watched her brother for years she was itching to get in the pool, it was money that stopped us (it's £140 every 4 weeks for the both of them, we were going to pull DS out once he got his 100m and then start DD, but DS got upset cos he really loves his swimming lessons, and it's the only sport/club that he has any interest in doing, so I tweaked the budget so they could both do it). DS had done 2 years at the local council pool in a group of 8, and it was a total waste of time and money, he didn't even get his 5m badge in 2 years!, was £25 a month, so I wasted £600 in the group lessons, then decided enough is enough and got him 1-2-1 lessons, and while it's more expensive, it is worth it

Eeee sorry that was a essay lol

Ohhh did you have it too :) I love it, it's just mayflower curry sauce, but I love it :)

I did day 5 of T25 within five mins of getting up this morning, I like doing it as soon as I can, then I feel good lol

Me and DD has just made some cakes, they got these glass bottles with mixture in, one for cakes, and one for flapjacks, so we made the cake one, I love the bottle as well, so I will be washing that out for me to take my milk to work in, just waiting for them to cook now.

DS has done his times tables, and they have both done their spelling, I have the last load of washing in, need to put clean clothes off the radiators away.
Need to get them lunch at 12, and then bath, then I will chill with some netflix and crochet till it's time to crack on with lasagne for tea :)

I am so excited for this week when all the money hits (CHB in 1 day, OH pay in 3 days and my pay in 4 days) as it will be the first month on YNAB with a full pay (as I started it 6th Jan and had spent most our money already :rotfl: )

Have a nice day all xx

  • YNAB seems to be working for you. I haven't checked your diary for ages but seem to recall your debt being a lot higher this time last year? Almost £14k paid off last year is awesome. Is that all down to better budgeting with YNAB?

Thank you, honestly the rise in the debt a couple years back was just a blip. A big blip, but a blip nonetheless :)
I was a lot more focused on my budget last year, I just had to write off 2017 in my head tbh. Ive only been using YNAB since 6th Jan this year, but it’s already changed my mindset. I really love it already. And think it will help me with the savings side of budgetting (as I’ve never been good at that unless I physically give someone my money to look after) as well as the paying off debt side to it.

Aww thank you, I’ve still got a long way to go though, but am 100% focused.
Good luck in your journey, do you have a diary? Xx

Thanks Homegrown, 1 more day till OH payday!!!! Woo hoo, 2 days till mine :)

Not much else to report really, at work, and very tired.

Me and DD have a cold, she has a awful cough, I had to ninja in her room last night and put vicks on her chest, I am taking cold tablets as I do not have time to be ill, my throat isn't as sore, but my chest feels super tight.

I hope everyone has a good day xx
