The corned Beef and Potato Pie was amazing
8 Days till OH payday, and 9 days till my payday, can't bloody wait! We are proper skint, I need to take some games to cex and then put the money I get from them in the bank, so I can buy shopping this sunday (I had planned on trading them in anyway so it's just giving me a push lol) we get CHB in 6 days which is good.
Had massive drama with DS last night, he is 8 (will be 9 soon), he has this friend at school we will call J, and they play with each other on some nights and weekend on the computer and chat via steam (steam is where you can buy games from and chat to friends from your friend list)
His friend is very manipulative, my son is a anxious little boy sometimes, and he doesn't like to think he has upset anyone, he doesn't like anyone being upset, he doesn't like anyone feeling left out, or hurt etc, J knows this, J uses this against him, I have read chats in the past where he has been berating him for not playing with only him, complaining that he is playing with DD and not him, moaning at him to play the game he wants to play, when DS says no he will then go into manipulative mode.
Last week he asked DS to get him a knife cos he wanted to kill himself, he said he was thinking of suicide in 2019. I don't really believe he was, I think it was another ploy for DS attention.
So last night DS came into the kitchen while me and OH were cooking tea, and said can someone come and help me with J, and then he burst into tears, I immediately ran to his laptop while OH comforted him, and saw a chat log where J had been calling DS nasty names, saying he wasn't really his friend, he never does anything for him, he doesn't like him etc, DS was breaking his heart, poor little guy was sobbing so much
OH lost it, he got onto the chat, and calmly told J that was it, that was the end, they are no longer friends, he is not to talk to DS at school, and he will be unfriended from any games they play together and steam.
OH has rang the school this morning to raise a safeguarding concern (OH is head of safeguarding at the council that DS school actually comes under), we are popping in after work to drop off the chat logs and the screen shots of the suicide comment.
The instant relief on DS face was apparant, he came to the kitchen again and said he wanted to say 2 things, 1) he loves us, 2) thank you for helping me with J, when he went to bed he had left a note on my pillow saying "I am pleased J is gone" and then when I was putting him in bed, he said "I am so relieved the weight of J is off my shoulders" poor little mite, he had been trying for months to make J feel ok (while being manipulated into feeling like a crap friend) and it has obviously been eating at him
I am slightly nervous to bump into the parents in the yard, but DS (and DD) are my priority and I am not letting them get upset over anything xxDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)
