Just had my asda delivery note with actual delivery cost, so I have updated YNAB with that, my delivery pass has also come out today, so also updated (love it so much!!!)

Logged into shop and scan and had a survey to do for 1500 points, so I have just done that, after I have scanned this weeks and next weeks shopping I will have enough points for £30 amazon vouchers, they are out of stock at the min so I will check in a few weeks, they don't tend to take long to get them in stock which is good.

My son wants to learn to cook (he is 8) and asked me for lessons bless him, so today, he is going to be making vegetable soup for me and oh to have for lunch at work tomorrow.

Both kids have times-tables homework to do today (they do it 5 days a week, it's just a 3 minute game where it asks them time tables, they do it three times a day, it's called Times Tables Rocks, the school give them access from year 2 (it only arrived this year though) and DD is year 1 and wanted to do it bless her so I paid for her to have a years access) which is good, I think from year 2 to year 6.

Need to bath them both, and will put the clean clothes away while I am upstairs, I have just done the dark wash which I need to get on the radiators to dry, then need to do a towel wash (then put it in tumble dryer)

That's it for today I think, I am hoping to have some sit down time later and work on my crochet blanket (I will post a picture when I have finished it)

Have a nice day all xx

  • Do you find the shop and scan works for you? I tried one of the scan sites, can't remember if it was that one or not, but it was always saying that it couldn't read the receipt properly and it was out of focus etc. Seemed to be a lot of hard work for nothing. Bit like the surveys I started, after a while they always said I was not suitable, after I was half way through them...lol

Yeah it really works for us, this is shop and scan where they send you a barcode reader and you scan all your shopping and then plug it in via usb to your computer and transmit the barcodes of the items you have bought, we do a weekly shop and get it delivered, it takes a few mins to scan it all, and if we do that every week and upload the receipt we get 1600 points, 10,000 points is £10, so we get nearly £90 a year from that which I cash out as Amazon vouchers

I haven't used receipthog or anything like that

I gave up surveys too, I used to make quite a lot on them but then I stopped making as much so I just do S+S xx

Shop and Scan is good if you can get onto it :)

Woke up at 4.15am this morning and could not get back to sleep at all :( I gave up and got up at 5.15am, I am shattered now

Just done my food plan for the following week:
Sunday - Corned Beef and Potato Pie, chips and peas (have pastry and filling in the freezer)
Monday - Fish Chips and Peas
Tuesday - Chicken and Chorizo Burritos (they were lush so we want them again lol)
Wednesday - Mayflower Chicken Curry and Rice
Thursday - Beef Hotpot and peas
Friday - Sweet and Sour chicken for OH and Thai Green Curry for me
    Saturday - Homemade Pizza

I've wrote my list but haven't done the online shop yet, hoping to get it for £65 or less (meal planned from what we have in the house mostly) as we only have £115 in the bank (till cheque for £70 clears on monday) and we need about £60 more for petrol, so that has to last us till the 27th (so basically I need to do two weekend shops and 3 more petrol purchases on £185, which should be doable lol)

They have asked for names for overtime for this weekend, so I have my name down for both days (they normally confirm it by thursday)

Have a nice day all xx
