  • Yay for the scart. I don't think they can complain if you have refunded them the exact amount for the game.

I find cards cluttering so don't really like having them up and around! Loads of people I know love having them up. x

Wow I have been quiet, sorry all, I got all wrapped up in Christmas, we had a fabulous day, kids loved it, I was then poorly with a migrane for two days after that (it makes me feel really sick as well)

We've been to the panto today and ate out at Chiquito's on the Meerkat 2 for 1 deal so that was nice and mse, the panto was fab we love it

I ordered the Tefal Ingenio pan set in the sales I had been after them for ages, was 3 saucepans, 3 frying pans, 2 woks, 2 handles, 2 spatulas and some plastic lids (you have to buy the glass ones seperate) for £95 which is a bargain, they came today and the box was bashed in and they were upside down, and half of them scratched and bashed so amazon are having to replace them, I was gutted

I will take the damaged ones to the corner shop tomorrow to send back, need to put the kids cheques in their bank as well

I hope everyone has a good new year tomorrow, we won't be doing anything, it's just another day to us xx

Shame about your pans, but glad Amazon are replacing them without quibble. I find the irritation lies in the hassle of sending things back more than anything else.

Glad you had a lovely Christmas!

  • Merry Christmas. Glad you had a good day, and got a bargain. Hopefully the replacements will come pretty quickly. I have to do a return today too, and I really hate it.

Do you always get migraines? Must be awful. x

Yes I agree Homegrown, it's the pain sending them back that annoys me the most lol

I hope you both had a good Christmas Homegrown and NicNak

No I don't often get them thank god, maybe once or twice a year? that was the worst one I have ever had though

I am back to work today (on lunch right now), but then I am off again till the 8th yay :) so that's not too bad

All of the DD's came out this morning for the cards (don't you hate it lol) so I need to update my siggie (will wait till I get home)

I will be starting Christmas savings again but the lady doesn't come back to work till the 7th. I need lots of savings pots this year, we have Centre Parcs, Cyprus, Kids Birthday's and Christmas so far to save for lol :)

Have a nice day all xx

I did Park one year and wondered whether to do it again next year. Do you find it easier to save with someone else? x

Nicnak, I save with my local credit union. £100 comes out via DD every month and I've set it up so half goes into my Christmas saver (I can't access it until is pays out in early Nov) and the other half into a savings account. I can access the normal saver but it take a 2 days to get to my account which means it isn't instant access and I think twice about using it.

In fact, I often forget about it.

Yes I definitely do, saving with the woman at work means if I need it for an emergency I can get it, but if not then I never would ask for it, I saved just shy of £700 with her this year but I didn't start till April xxx

  • I'm thinking of giving my mum some of the cash from my business. I know I need to pay tax, but rather than drawing it out, just give her bits and pieces from it every month and she won't give it me until Christmas next year.
