I've put this on my "need to make list" :drool:WishIwasstill25 wrote: »Internet search for 'instructables creme egg' it tells you how to make the fondant & make it up into eggs, I just make the fondant. You need corn syrup, some T*sc* stores stock it. I rang my local one and they tracked it down for me. It's usually in the Kosher isle.
Then make your preferred brownie recipe, melt chocolate on the top and pipe the two colours of fondant into the melted chocolate, it goes a bit squishy, and looks a little like fried eggs. Eat small pieces only....

I treated myself to a treat breakfast on the way to work.
3.58 that's it...
All the news for today. I'm tired too, so goodnight people, sleep well.Mortgage outstanding: [STRIKE]£47,750 (August 2014)[/STRIKE] [STRIKE][/STRIKE]£46,950 (Nov 14)[STRIKE][/STRIKE] £44,900 (June 2015)

I just love it. And I'm not just a 'switch it on for the famous bit' I love the proms, I've been hooked all season as usual. What a great festival of music, it's range of music has definitely expanded this year and I love it....
Financially speaking....
Did the food shop today... Less than £40, but my YNAB budget has grown to £250 for food for 2/3 of us for 6 weeks (until I align my YNAB month with a real month) is that unreasonable? I shop at Ald* and only really had 1 weekend blip of snack type food. Hmmm. Maybe I need a little longer at this real budgeting before I get a better idea.
Builder has been round today to sign off on the building work. Final payment made and build in on budget. I've been up there tonight with the Hoover to give it a good clean. Just need to paint & carpet. Wonder how long I'll be waiting for hubby to do that?
Lodger has paid her first week's rent, but I'm not counting that in any income or expenditure just yet until a) I get enough to cover the costs of the bits & bobs bought for the room (about 7 weeks worth of rent) b) I'm a month ahead on YNAB so the lodger money can go on the mortgage....
Tomorrow is a jobs day and a planning day.
Then a 4 day week at work (going to be tired come the weekend)
Have a great Sunday

And today I've done it without even thinking about it, just didn't spend anything, or go anywhere to spend.
I've given up working out where hubby is, it's either Paris, or Amsterdam, although there's a rumor going round he might be in the uk by the end of the week.
4 days at work this week for me.
Have a good one everyone

Yup, that's me! (Although not complaining about having a boring life, sometimes life is too interesting)
In today's financial news...
Paid the deposit for the work Christmas do........... What ! It's September.... Yes I know, for once in our work place life, we are getting organised. These mass Christmas pobdi ping events with 'entertainment' are really not my thing, but sometimes you just have to go with the flow....
Also contributed to a colleagues leaving gift (support staff, so not bound by the stupid teacher deadline days)
Then I went to the supermarket to buy icing sugar (less than £2) and vanilla extract £5.69:eek: that's it folks, you are getting tasteless cakes when this bottle has gone... I am not going to be mortgage free spending that much on baking ingredients.
Two full days at work on the trot now (no breaks for ppa, or sports coaching or singing) so, off to bed to attempt to get some beauty sleep.
Night all

No work for me tomorrow, but lots of planning to do, so not entirely work free.....
The supermarket at the end of our street is closing at the weekend. It's being turned into a different brand (normal/slightly pricey brand changing to discount brand) and they are reduced stickers on lots of things. alcohol has been stickers for a couple of weeks. Last Saturday I bought a ton of shampoos and conditioners (all stickered) and tonight we popped in to get a couple of bits and walked away with....
3 strudels
3 pieces of pork for pulling
2 packets of sweets
2 mini tubs of cream
12 eggs
Garlic bread
Bacon
Washing up tablets
Other stuff!
Expensive at about £30, but I couldn't buy stuff cheaper elsewhere, so freezer is stocked and I have the money in my ynab spreadsheets.
Ok, I need to sleep, night all.

But that doesn't really mean anything as YNAB is in charge of my spending, and I'm trying not to touch my wages until the 1st of the month.
There are a few direct debits that go out between payday and 1st of the month, but most of this is covered by current budgeting (out of septembers income, paid on 20thAugust) by the end of October I should have fully made the switch from mid month wages to month end wages. So can then work on getting an entire month ahead.
I'm going to be pleased when the supermarket is actually closed down, I'm spending a fortune, but getting loads, latest bargains include massive packs of puff pastry for 35p, I don't think I could make pastry for that price.
Bought some clothes yesterday, outlet shop, so no changing rooms, took 1/2 back today (didn't really like or didn't fit)
Hubby is home :j and home till next Wednesday am, he's working a food festival at the weekend but at least he's coming home to sleep.
Sleepy now, one more get up....
Good night

YNAB on my iPad needs re syncing apparently, and I've not had a Minute to get on the real computer, but I'm not overspending, so it will all be fine.
I am sooooo tired, considering it's only Monday nd I've got three more days of this week not really sure how I'm going to get through.
Husband's work for this week may have fallen through, I'm really not upset about this. He painted some of the loft, but if he can get the rest done this week. He may even get the carpet chosen before the weekend, then it will be. Case of moving everything up there and getting our bedroom back.
Right, I'm aiming to be asleep by 10, so Good night one and all.
