  • I think that word-of-mouth is probably the best marketing you can have. Maybe they're also a bit idealistic, I say this due to them being american. The US has such awful costs and loans, did you know student loans don't even go away if the person goes bankrupt?!

Thank you Litly. When you say sign up via your like I'm guessing you meant the link you added below? And MSE decided to play games. :). That's my new year sorted. Can't wait to try it as I want to be sure I keep the MSE going in the new year when I'm fulltime. Danger is that less time and more money can equal more ready meals. Who me?:o

Already spending more. But had a great conversation with DH earlier about the future and about making the most of money rather than just being tight with money. And about reducing expenses rather than just increasing allowances. YNAB should be great for this.

Let's see if Mr SuperDave can live up to the talk. Xx

  • Hi KP. DD would like to study in the US. They seem to have good student loans but not available for anyone outside of USA. Will need to try for a scholarship.

  • That is awful about the student loans KP!!

SS - no that isn't my referral - that is just a link to a blog. I could only get you 10% off the cost price with the referral, and I would much rather you bought it via the Steam sales, or a 20% off link that occasionally pops up across the year than my puny link :) it will be much cheaper then :)

If your DD wants to study in the US for one year then she might be able to at the cost of a uni here, many unis offer an exchange programme but only for specific courses.
  • Thanks Peaty. That's useful to know. :)

  • Hi All. Been out shopping, got out the tree then put it back again - got out the wreath. And put it on the door. Put up some decorations. We aren't at home for Christmas this year so am going to spend time decluttering rather than decorating.

Sorry for not being around and as involved as normal. I am popping in and out but probably missing some of my regular threads. Just really want to get organised for the new year. Some cards and pressies delivered this afternoon. Fire on again this afters, burning the old barky logs. Can't belived its almost the big day.

Hope everyone is enjoying the run up and not getting themselves too stressed. Xx

  • Oooh good girl you just reminded me to get my Quidco cash out! It was frozen as I changed the bank account to my savings account but it is free now.

Well done on all your point accumulations. I spent £10 of Nectar the other day. Good feeling as most of my points come from crumpets and soya milk :D lol
