  • Thanks guys. Your comments really mean a lot.

I'm also going to ask work for some support. If you don't ask, you don't get. Even if I get some time for study or a few quid off the loan

    😄.

  • Just been rambling on Shelbis thread so thought I head home and do some jottings.

I was just thinking....this time last year.....

I was in the first month of my new job. I had no handover apart from a few stressed hours after 2 weeks, and before I started lost one staff member who left unexpectedly due to a disagreement with one of the owners and another one had given in their notice. Unbeknown to me a third staff member was about to have a disagreement on my day 2 with one of the owners and go off sick (and eventually not come back after threatening to sue - which I had to handle). And as soon as I started work staff started telling me how awful it was to work there, how lazy and disrespected the bosses were, plus I was overworked trying to do my own job. It was not the ideal start and I was soon working through lunch and also extra each evening to try and keep up. Did my bosses thank me for this, oh no. Did they support me oh no. Did they ask how I was ever, oh no. Did they ask about my family etc, oh no. I am so well shut of that job. it should have been a lovely job but the only good thing was the money, which wasn't good enough, and probably worked out less per hour than anyone else.

Rant over. That feels good. 😄

  • One door closes and all that.

Been feeling a bit low - but have rallied again and am looking forward and positive again. My energies are being concentrated on work at the moment so doing my best with the finances, but it feels ever so slightly out of control (in a very minimal way).

The great thing is I am learning and on the way towards gaining a qualification. How fab is that. I also attended a training day for work which will look great on my CV. In fact, all I am working on at the moment will look great on my CV - yayyy.

I have another application to get in this weekend - no moss growing on this gal! Am meeting up with a friend for coffee (usually a good excuse for a Costa Coffee!!) and some time booked off at half-term.

Roll it on, roll it on :rotfl::rotfl:

  • All looking good. Stick with it.

  • Thanks INOD, I will certainly do my best. Good luck with your interview by the way. I'm just about to put an app in for a job almost an hours journey. It's more money though I'm taking the same attitude of what will be will be. Had some really positive things at my temp job today. It could be permanent, but only could. So I may have 3 opportunities to decide on. Imagine that. Will cross each as I come to it though.

Meanwhile the finances are taking a battering. The month seems to get longer or the money shorter. I'm gritting my teeth until 1st November 😁😁😁

I also have done bad with cooking this week. Stew two noghts, cottage pie another then beans on toast and noodles. Feel bad when GP manages lovely food. Another plus for a job with less money closer to home.

Right. Bit more browsing, the archers and beddie byes. Night all.

  • I'm fabby dabby doo-ing all over the place today (or tabby cabby foo-ing depending on whether MSE wants to change things).

Have decided I need to get my productive head on and stop this nonsense waiting for change. Come on SS1K you can do this - get the flipping house cleaned and some lovely MSE food cooked, what are you waiting for!

Am I talking to myself too? I can do this, I can do this! Whoops just got to pop out for coffee with a mate now, but I will do it after, promise :-)

  • Hey you

Sorry been absent... What a difference a year makes :) you did the right thing leaving that job indeed! No one needs that kind of pressure (she says on a 5 minute break from work - having skipped lunch)

Will be around this weekend but got endless wrapping, shopping, complaining and other stuff to do plus seeing friends on Sunday.

    Huggles xx
