Oh blow! OHs salary low again this month by £271 !
But I've held it together, rejigged the finances and we can do it. The planned savings and overpayments are out of the window, but I'm positive we can make it to the end of the month without dipping into the emergency fund. Next months salary should be back to normal (I hope).
Just shows though that a few days off have really helped, I feel like I'm getting back to the SuperDave I was a year ago(not so long ago it would have driven me to the depths of despair
)
I'm popping in to everyone's threads from time to time but am trying to concentrate on getting things organised. I'm also actually looking forward to going back to work - how sad is that - but how fab when I was so down and stressed about carp job just a while back.
Good tidings to all who visit and I promise I will be back soon properly once I'm on the right track. You are all such wonderful people, it really makes my heart sing to catch up on your threads:):)
ps have been to the sillymarkets today. MrL spend £20 including 2 new hand towels, MrT was £10 including a whole chicken (100 pointer) and some coffee. That should see us through week 1 of September. :TOSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Hey SS SuperDave (You've turned into a navy warship! suits you...)
I am glad to see you posting here. Miss your posts. Glad you are getting back to you and congrats on the top up degree. Thats fab news so hope you get it sorted, and the funding!
Re DH, have I missed something? How come his wages are low? Will it be added at a later date? Glad you rejigged. Just keep swimming!!

Hi Lilty. SS SuperDave reporting for duty! :rotfl: We could have a children's storyline there !:rotfl:
DHs wages are something to do with tax and NI catching up. By my reckoning it should be caught up, but hopefully this is the last month. Although it seems to me that DH is on less money now than his last job even though he's paid far more. It may be something to do with the company car, but I need to find out wage slips and tax codes and do a calculation.
More important things to do still though as I still haven't sent off my student loan application proof of ID - blow I meant to call my friends husband tonight as he's a professional who can sign my form.
Thanks for your kind words, I've missed you all too. But I am also enjoying being thoroughly lazy and spending time with DD. We have been cooking up a storm this week with HM samosa's - ours are in the shape of pasties though. Plus lovely Indian carrot and coconut salad. We've had Jamie's couscous salad tonight and tomorrow DD is cooking Jacks bean goulash. Feeling so less stressed and it's releasing a bit of creativity.
Will catch up with you soon, have been reading about your wayward OH. They take a lot longer to become fully cooked than us girls. Hope you are okay though and that gorgeous little one.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

This is ace:D
Hope everything goes from strength to strength for you ss - shame about DH's wages, but awesome how you've approached the scenario. Yep, you will make it through September, you go girl!

The company car typically has a big impact on take home pay as it significantly reduces your tax free allowance and may even push you into higher tax bracket.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes.
