Funny how banking systems work. I flagged up for a loan, a credit card and myriad other 'opportunities' with Lloyds when I dumped my 'savings' pot into my old current account with them whilst I found a new permanent home for it with good interest. I hadn't touched it, just left it there for little over a month. So obviously I didn't need that money... why do they want to give me more?!
Apparently it is because we are a 'good bet'
What be Jamie Olivers couscous? I am making it for work lunches this week, but was just going to bang in some veggies I will chop & roast up & some lemon juice and spices. *googles*
Hope your day was lovely. Lots of positive vibes for tomorrow

Hiya Lilty
Yes funny how they want to loan me money when me no need it
Lovely day at work thanks.
Hope your week going well too?
Jamie's cous cous salad page 181 of the naked chef.
You need olive oil and lemon juice dressing which is 2 tbsp of lemon juice, 5 tbsp olive oil, level tsp salt and 1 of pepper and just mix it all up with 255g of couscous. Then add 285ml of cold water and mix it well and leave to stand for 15 mins.
Meanwhile chop up in very small pieces - 2 red peppers (or yellow or orange), 2 shallots or one red onion, garlic to taste, 2 tomatoes and 2 handfuls of fresh herbs (basil, coriander, flat leaf parsley - or whatever you have), you can add a chilli deseeded if you like. Then pour on the juice of a lemon and a teaspoon of red wine vinegar, salt and pepper and 1 tbspoon of olive oil. Let it marinate for 15 mins.
Then just mix the couscous and chopped veg together. (Jamie says to grill the peppers but I don't bother. I just chop all the veg in kind of sweet corn sized pieces so it mixes evenly through the couscous). This is delicious and the whole bowl disappears every time.
Enjoy

Evening all.
Today was lovely again. It makes such a difference when you have great colleagues.
I had a message from the peoples postcode lottery to say I had won £10. Funny I thought I'd cancelled but it must be one of my last goes. I've transferred a tenner into the safety fund. Yayy :T
I've just seen an email from Tesco that we can swap £2.50 worth of vouchers in for a cinema ticket. That's great value, so I may get a few as you can use them until Feb I think.
I've still got the swim vouchers too so will be using those when I get a week off soon.
Contacted the college about degree courses. Just going to find out a few more details before making my decision. Feels good to have choice.
Incredibly I still have around £165 in the bank at the moment, which must be a record for me! I need to pay about £17 off the Tesco card, but I have about that amount in the Santander account in received fed so that will balance.
I should nopefully be getting my mobile phone cashback tomorrow. Don't hold your breath! But that's another £35 owed to me.
14 nectar adpoints earned (and I 'gained' a receipt at the self service check out in Sainsbugs for 64 points Yayyyy
Have a few items to get on eBay very soon too.
Well am falling asleep so night one and all. Sleep tight and don't let the bed bigs bite. SuperDave xOSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Thank you Gib. I am trying to keep positive and it seems to be paying off.
I'm not sure if I need to return to being supersaver or maybe become super davina as I don't want to confuse things. And don't want people to think I'm a smelly boy !
My buymobiles cashback hasn't arrived in my bank, surprise surprise. It was due n April and they have fobbed me off ever since, so I tweeted a couple of week or so ago and they tweeted back it would be paid in 7 working days. 7 working days later I tweeted again and they said 3-5 working days. Well 6 working days later and nada. So another polite tweet went off but nothing yet. Will have to think about an impolite tweet if nothing heard tomorrow.
Don't do cashback deals with buymobiles also known as A1comms. I've got another claim to get in shortly so I'd better start charging them interest. :cool:OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Be impolite and shame 'em all the way. I'm about to run naked through the streets screaming about the evils of scottish power if they send one more threatening debt letter for money we don't owe them (our meter isn't yet up to their estimated readings even though they claim it's from April - b&st@rds the lot of them....lol)

:rotfl: Loving your disclaimer Gib. Are you sure one night on a moonlit beach somewhere when you're debt free and all savings'd up (tis a word!) you won't just have a little jog somewhere starkers?!
Glad work has been so lovely for you SuperSSSSSSSSSSI've cut my nails. No more Daves here
I also had a good but very dull day at work with lovely colleagues, biscuits from Cyprus & seriously dull tasks which actually sped the day along due to deadlines.
As to cashback, I do not trust those companies. Whyn't you tweet them and just copy in MSE Martin for good measure. Name and shame & call in the big guns!!
Lots of love coming your way for the recipes. I need any help I can get at the minute. One meals worth of chicken demolished by uninvited guestI am grumpy, but it was a lovely dinner.

Thanks for clearing that up Gib. No jogging naked not now not ever.
I will make a stand tomorrow as you both suggest though. Apparently there are lots of us but I don't know where everyone is.
Glad the recipes are useful Lilt. Good to have some in reserve. Sorry you are grumpy about your dinner getting snaffled, you could see it as a charitable donation..
Thanks both, your support is fantastic. XxOSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10
