Ah so I need to chase if no joy by September. Seems a very long time. Do you think I will already have been switched over to the new tariff?

You got it and when you ring through your end of year reading just check they've automatically put you onto the new lower rate - they should have but good for peace of mind to ask.

Hope your weekend is going well :)
    Back on the DFW Wagon:

    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019

What goals are these? I love working out my long term goals, splitting them into smaller sections, attaching dates and rewards to them....

I've been following your progress on the KM thread, you're doing so well!

I just read goats for goals! Think I need to put the iPhone down and wait until I get home :rotfl:

Thank you :rotfl: those goats are a bit like my goals at the moment. You know my big goal is to be debt free. But we are talking of buying a property again, which would change that and all the dates. Though I personally think we aren't ready, so I'm not including that in the plans just yet. I would also one day like to reduce my hours, but having very recently taken on a new role and with loose plans for a mortgage, that is probably a pipe dream, but who knows. I'd like to wait until the new year before making a move as at the start of next year we will know our other financial comitments for the following two years and it will give us 6 months to make find out whether we can sustain this level of living and debt reduction lifestyle and take on a mortgage. in three years time we will have a huge reduction in outgoings, so we need to put that into the plans too. It's very much like goats on a trampoline right now, but you are right KP, we need to set small goals to make sure we aren't staying still or going backwards.

Thanks Ali, having a great weekend. I will call Daligas just to make sure. I emailed my last reading, but when I called a couple of months ago they said it would be an automatic switch. However this month they didn't take my payment so I will mention that. Nay be because I had overpaid? Xx

That's huge news about you getting a house. But this doesn't necessarily mean that you'd have to give up your other goals. I need to know everything about the house and your plans and redecoration. I will need to live my house goals through you :o

(Also I think you will totally be able to work part time if you want to)

Huge news, but no huge deposit, a fledgling business and a new job to name but a few ifs and buts. Besides, we have just got to our comfort zone and I'd like to stay in the zone a little longer. But on the other hand nothing ventured....nothing gained

Totally agree with goals though. Konmarie says to envisage how you'd like life to be - guess dreaming is good then :rotfl::)

Been minor kondoing this weekend and DH has started on the DIY list, so things moving forward. It all feels so good - so much easier to keep clean. My frame of mind is so positive since meeting the konmarie book :)

Mmm, I had forgotten the new business. Can you get a mortgage with such a new business? What prompted the idea of buying? Thinking that the time is right?

I have been kondoing very gently for a few months. With my tiredness and weakness, this is my version of extreme kondoing and it's so great to not have to move a thousand pieces of thing in order to wipe a surface.

Have you noticed a change in shopping habits yet?

I think so, but I think we will need to talk to the accountant. However the first question is where would we want to live and could we afford to live there. I always said I would rent in the area before I bought next time. We spent a fortune on our old house, not realising that no amount of home improvement would ever make us happy there.

I also don't want to tie myself to one place. A purchase is an investment for the future as much as anything. I guess these questions need resolving first. Looking forward to looking around some new builds soon :)

My shopping habits have seen an extreme change. And despite putting on several pounds I am feeling good in the few clothes I have. I'm loving the charity shop finds and have more restraint on buying things that are bargains, and instead buy only joyous things. I have a few nights out coming up so need to put a couple of outfits together. Plus an early October wedding so I will be keeping my eyes peeled in the chazzer shops. I've also found a free Pinterest pattern for a simple top. http://www.thesisterstoo.com/2014/05/cowl-neck-tank-top-tutorial-part-1.html And would love to make a couple of different colours.

The great thing about KM is that when the time to move comes, it will be much simpler. :T

Konmarie for me is moving on from throwing things out to enhancing my environment. :D

  • I feel so neglectful of my diary, but life has moved on so much. I am hanging around on the konmarie thread, GPs wonderful Living Richly thread and calling into everyone's threads when I can to check everyone's okay.

In RL I am dieting, exercising, kondoing and working hard. Feels like a juggling act but it's all coming together so far. Thank you old thread and everyone who has helped me. I am hoping to start a new thread some day, but can't decide at this moment where it should focus on - so much going on. Hopefully it will become clear soon and in the words of that famous actor 'I'll be back' xxxx
