Carrot cake in the oven

Well spendalotty me again today. Firstly went to the charity shops and spent £3 in the first one for two amazing items.
What a find.
Then spent another 99p on a beautiful Royal Doulton plate - do I need it, no! But next time I make a cake or give you digestives with your cuppa, you know what they'll be on :rotfl: I also bought a couple of raffle tickets to go with the plate, but ended up with nothing to give the life boat collectors in moggisons - very sorry but hard cash had gone. I will make a donation online on pay day as I think they are a fab service. :T
So I ended up buying £14 of bits in moggisons so I could get the £1 car park ticket money back - bits I need in the future, but not actually needed. :rotfl: Then went to get the co-op £5 meal deal and used a £1 off voucher they gave me the other day. So £4 for some burds eyes chicken, fries, sweet corn, peas and a tub of hagandaz - yum :rotfl: Blow me, they only gave us another £1 voucher, so I quickly went round and got another meal deal. I know it's not the healthiest fare, but it will be good to have in the freezer for a non-cook night ('cept for the cookies and cream hagendaz - as it may go off :rotfl: so better eat soon ).
Just putting the feet up for a few mins before tackling the wet washing hanging round the house. It's been a bit rainy today and I feel too lazy to be running in and out. I'm dying shoes at the moment. Shop had run out of DDs favourite school shoes in black so I've bought brown. Dye has arrived so I'm having a go hope they turn out okay
Started to kondo the papers earlier, then stopped. Bags of wires etc were puzzling me, however I now know that sky will recycle old equipment, including routers, for free (if you're an ex customer you get some kind of voucher). The guitar/amp shop in town will buy old tellies and laptops and the Oxfam shop wants wall pictures. All will be receiving a visit.

That is so true. I have loved ditching stuff that I don't really like. The true test has yet to come, rather than putting it somewhere 'just in case'. :rotfl:
Thank you Parsniphead, I feel a lot more focussed than I have in a long while. I think the Kondo lifestyle is a good fit for me right nowOSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Not sure why I was awake dos early this morning, but I went back to sleep and was awoken with a coffee from DD at a more civilised hour.
So, started on the junk room again. I managed to get all those cables into a bag and they are ready for the dump - I'm hoping they'll recycle them somehow. Another couple of bags to go, plus some for the CS which I'll take later today - excellent that they open on Sunday
The junk room is thus a corner of eebay/CS stuff (someone bought quite a large item that I have a feeling may take a while to collect ). The eBay stuff will be CSd if not sold by next Sunday. Then two towers of paperwork which will be culled next weekend! Konmarie style.
Right I'm off on a little trip and hope to report good news later
ps during my junk room kondoing and cable matching I was looking for things to fit cables. I found my camera box but no camera. Slightly panicking, but then realised it was on my dressing table covered in dust! KM is very much needed here still!OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Oh balderdash. I drove for 45 mins each way to pick up a comfy chair for my craft room. I picked it up but couldn't get it in the house, should have measured
:):( oh well. £6 paid plus £4 in petrol. Lesson learned and a free cycle item to pass on now in the shed. Not very konmarie. :rotfl::(
But, we kept our temper, tired from carrying this heavy item (and getting it stuck!). :rotfl:

Just popping in to say hello SS1k -
sounds like lots of activity going on - I lost momentum with the kondoing.
Need to get back to it next week I think.

Yes, thinking about it I have been busy, and I've lost a bit of oomph now. Guess it's natural with Konmarie as others have said the same. I was trying to finish quickly and rushed to get the chair, but have created another job to take it to the dump
Going to take a step back now, as I've cracked most of the organising a space to Konmarie. Now I'm ready to take that forward and then, and only then, as KM advises, can I then start the process of buying what I need. It was a time consuming lesson, but thankfully not too expensive.
Hope you get your KM mojo back soon too xOSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Well Mr SS has had a little paddy and stormed off to bed muttering expletives. Behaves like an overgrown child sometimes, there's just no need. Well he can stew until he apologises as I don't have a naughty step. He's too old for this and life is too short for me to want to put up with it any longer. Grow up or ship off :rotfl:
Meanwhile back on planet grown up ........... Payday his here tomorrow (Friday). Yayyy. So I will be balancing the books at the weekend. Working my way to debt freedom and freedom. Love it when decisions you've made that you aren't sure about, suddenly become crystal clear. Sorry for cryptics but I know what I mean. I have plenty of patience and a cunning back up plan :rotfl::). Debt free give you wings, sorry, choices

So positive SS... even with the sulking man-child :rotfl:
Sorry to hear about your craft chair, not something that instantly springs to mind whether it fits through a door or not. Had a near miss with our last sofas - fortunately they could be held above the 6ft fence down our side path (by 2 burly chaps) and taken in through the french doors - we'd have been royally stuffed otherwise too
.
No black clouds here either...sunshine all the way at the moment :TBack on the DFW Wagon:
