Ahh, well it's a standard wait of 6 weeks from your year end for your bill..phone in or email your reading on the date so it's dead accurate and then mark 6 weeks forward on your calendar or diary :D. Chase after that point!

Even better your outfit is getting another outing :T

Thanks Ali. I've just found my welcome letter and my contract started on 11th July. So I'll submit my reading on Saturday morning, thank you.

My outfit will be less than £30 an outing. I may sell it on afterwards too, so could make a few pounds back :)

It's lovely waking up to a very decluttered bedroom, definitely going to do the airing cupboard next and just wondering whether to do the kitchen next, the paperwork or start on the shed. I guess it depends on the weather. I need to see if anywhere takes old towels as I may have a few to get rid of.

    :)

Just reporting in. I've kondoed the airing cupboard and now have a mountain of linens and towels to take to the CS. I'm going to do a run into town tomorrow and will take a load from outside to the recycling centre at the same time.

I am dithering about the paperwork but have decided I must do it tomorrow, - maybe first thing, then I could take all the rubbish in together. The other bits of Kondoing aren't so scary and can be done in shorter time slots.

Really enjoying reading the Konmarie kondo thread and the Frugal frump to fab threads. The things people say really resonate with me - clearing the clutter is do freeing, and making fab outfits from CS spends allows more money for good shoes and good haircuts.

    Life seems manageable now :)

Hi Ali, better late than never. :rotfl: don't worry I've only just started. There are lots of videos on YouTube and I bought the book on kindle which I've found useful.

She says not to buy any storage before you've kondoed because you end up with more than enough space. I realise my error now - I've been tidying clutter and cr*p and spending money on fancy storage solutions, when I should just have ditched it :D

I've always wanted a home that felt like this, am so positive for the future (like the method says) :)

Sorry Ali, I meant to paste the thread link last night and then didn't.

    Here it is. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5146700

Sorry it's a bit messy, but if I try to use the link button on my iPad MSE just closes. I may kondo it later though :rotfl:

Meanwhile I am half way through my papers. There's a lot of recycling, and I may be making a trip to the confidential waste destoyers to save some time. Can't wait to get through it all. :)

Well today was my day for Kondoing paperwork - I'd gathered about 12 large boxes together and it was ever so slightly daunting.

It took me virtually all day, but I did it :T:T. Well, I've condensed 12 boxes down to 1 box of paperwork and a box of komono which will need further Kondoing, but I hope never to have to do that much Kondoing again :D:D

Linens and towels also all popped into the textile bank but I didn't get chance to go to the recycling centre, so tomorrow is going to be a busy day running around to get that sorted. Where has the week gone?

Feeling tired, but still feeling the kondo buzz. What is true though is that the more I throw away, the more I see there is to do and I feel as far away from finishing as ever, but it all feels achievable, not overwhelming at all (which is how it used to feel). The other thing that is true is that it's easier to clean and keep tidy, I guess because there's less to tidy and it's easier to clean because it's always the tidying that takes most time. :)

Right off to have a run round the threads then off to bed. Sleep well all. Xx

Brilliant, thank you. I got stuck after the mass house declutter back over Christmas 2013 and left with the study to sort - and here we are 19 months later and I still haven't done it

And now I need to start all over again as everywhere feels cluttered up - except my wardrobes that are still half empty. I've been good at not buying clothes. Yay for that! :rotfl:

You're doing superb and posting progress is motivating. Hope I get the K-bug too :D

Double yay to not buying clothes, I'm not allowing myself any until I've lost the pounds I've gained. Could be an interesting Winter as I've just kondoed most of my clothes

Hope you get the bug too. Am feeling worn out still today, I guess the effects of a mammoth KM. Today was spent running around disposing of it all. Tomorrow may be a rest day, depending on Dd. I could do with getting my 'get up and Go' back for a final rally.

I've a few things to do over the weekend - a couple of bits of furniture to dispose of, contact lense appt, book next hair appt and, of course, a sweep round the chazzer shops (and drop a couple of bits off too).

Sadly haven't done any crafting but excited that Ill be free to start soon. :T And I must must must start my weekly meal planning from now. Have missed doing that and my purse is really suffering.

    Hello SS,
Just caught up a bit and I am really envious of your kondoing especially in the paper arena. That is one area (as well as clothes) still hanging over me like a gigantic thundercloud waiting to burst and drown me. Can you come round mine once your done?
BBQ and Bubbly on offer:D I know a friend of mine who paid a "personal organiser" about £40 per hour to help her sort through and reduce her stuff. The first visit was really productive so she arranged another session. But this time she felt that the PO was just using it to be nosey and instead of sorting spent ages looking at interesting stuff my friend had inherited:mad: Said friend was really cross.

Sounds like you have had fun with the CS shopping and outfits sound great!

    Have a lovely weekend:)
