I think unless it is essential, you cannot be too fussy with your things, otherwise you will just end up replacing it in a short while. I don't know if you live anywhere that used to have a thriving furniture background, I find charity shops in those locations are the best0

Back from our night out. Lovely meal, now chilling. Feeling tired.
£6 chair on gumtree. Looks good. I wouldn't normally get upholstery second hand but had two the other month and they are great. This one looks as good, but will view first. Could be what I need.
Fleabay can be very annoying, but I'm now selling kondo stuff, which will go to the charity shop after week 2. No messing. Besides, I need the cash
I agree, don't buy things that you aren't really keen on. But my chairs weren't my first choice, but when I actually got them home I found they fitted perfectly, better than I could ever have imagined. I've bought a couple of charity clothes finds that are fantastic but also another couple that are carp. It's got to spark joy when you hold it, otherwise don't buy it.I haven't found any clothes for ages, but my under £1 glass collection is growing :A
Don't give up, it's just being in the right place, right time.
Well, what a busy weekend. Hope everyone has a lovely sleeps xxOSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Found some CS clothes today, both thrilling to behold and will do for a summer garden party and wear in general, including work. Really pleased, but will need to kondo my drawers to make room.
Also need to think about my party shoe colour and dyeing them, must read the advice I've received again. I'd also like to tart up the party frock, partly in case someone recognises it but also to make it a bit more glitzy. Going to look up gem stones and fabric glue as I don't want them falling off mid-bop. :rotfl:OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

I wouldn't worry about people recognising outfits, I have worn the same outfit to go out clubbing every time for the last year, there are pictures and everything. Has anyone noticed? Not on your nelly.
Glad you had a good shopping trip.0 -
Popped in to catch up and I'm now addicted to Houzz. I hope you are happy!Originally debt free 27th November 2014 :T

Hi VM is that just Houzz or Pinterest as well? :rotfl: I would love to be able to pin things from Houzz on Pinterest.
Lovely to see you btw. I'll pop over later to see how life is.
KP you're right. But I would like to upcycle, although I won't panic if I run out of time or enthusiasm xx
ps. Love your one clubbing outfit. I've been trying a jeans and smart jumper look for the day with a couple of dresses for work/evening. It went well til I put weight on, so now am having a renewed try. Very MSE thoughx

Feeling very spring like today (I know it's summer
) as managed to have a good spring clean - at last! Have one fleabay parcel ready to post and another ready for collection, plus a pile of CS things, but that will have to wait until the weekend to go sadly. Still have a few things on fleabay but no bidders yet, I will CS them soon, but as I'm still kitting out the craft room, funds would be welcomed. Have booked a regular window clean, which seems a bit of a luxury, but as I'll be working very full time soon I think it's a good idea - plus I like that I'm helping another small business locally.
Kondoing is going slowly but surely and I still need to do clothes, papers, ornaments and also the shed (well, everything then :rotfl:). Mr SS agreed that his clothes need doing as he has so many but only wears a few. Papers are the priority as they are holding up my craft room - well that and a couple of largish eBay items/recycling stuff. So excited as once it's all done I will have time and a lovely space for making things and/or relaxing. I still can't stop sitting in the living room and admiring it and even moved some bits and a lamp and WOW, looks great tonight. Earlier today I had lunch in the kitchen and was admiring that too, just gets betterLove it, starting to luuuurrrvvvee this [strike]house[/strike] home :T

Forgot to say I read my meter today (almost 1 year on) and it looks like the estimate of usage I gave Daligas last year is spot on. I've read it 3 weeks early but there's wiggle room to go. So it looks like there will be no end of year top up payment to make - yay :T. They said they will automatically swap me onto the new better deal when my year is up on 11th July. :T
I also signed up for the Sky broadband deal with MSE. Looks like I'll get an email and then can decide whether to switch from BT. I'm slightly nervous as all my previous switches haven't been straight forward. However that's a big saving not to be sniffed at, but I don't think we'll be eligible anyway as we live in the sticks and can't get the cheap Sky broadband - so it's probably a no goer.
Also wondering whether to continue Amazon prime when my student membership runs out. £39 for the year isn't bad.

Loving your bargains SS and your posts are radiating happiness - a total pleasure to read :T
Fab news on Dalig@s and fingers crossed for your broadband too - I seem stuck with mine, fear of being without t'internet and email and having to set up a new email address stop me moving.
Carry on Kondo-ing :rotfl:. You're well into it :TBack on the DFW Wagon:

Thank you Ali. I don't feel very bargainous at the moment, seems like I'm spend, spend, spend. But it's all good stuff - £2 at the CS today :rotfl: Still, it all adds up and I need to take care that I'm not buying more rubbish to replace the stuff I've kondoed.
I've just been for a wander round the house, it's all so lovely everywhere. I know I keep saying it, but I so love it all coming together. I love that word 'radiating'.
Yes, I'm concerned about switching broadband. Now a further complication with the BT sport, which DH must have :rotfl: if you aren't in the BT contract you have to pay £6.75 a month extra. Will need to look into that this weekend. Along with shoe dying and paper sorting.
Dinner was pizza from coop. 3 for £6, plus I noticed a £5 meal deal in the freezer - may get one for tomorrow as it looked a great bargain. Will report back.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10
