Yay for the loan being cheaper. Well done, you money savvy being!! :D

I am loving kondo - it has stalled a bit here due to a backlog of ironing covering my rocking chair and tonnes of stuff still to remove. Soon though.

Darn, small is awake. Must run. Back later. Lots of love!! xxx

Thank you Shelbi, I really wanted a hollifox clarity loan, but they offered 9.9% which is more than the main dealer garage wanted  Over 5 years that would be horrendous  I hope I can pay it off sooner though, but am not sure of the sentendar repayment penalties yet so will put into savings for now.

Sunday morning in bed with coffee and my iPad is the best.

Lilty! It's so lovely to see you, I have been very remiss in posting lately but I am always checking how you are :) sad about the ironing. I try not to iron these days. :)

    Love crumpled SS1k x

Thanks for popping by lcc86, I love kondo at the moment as I've been surrounded by carp that I daren't get rid of and even the other day my bil was bemoaning the fact I'd gotten rid of a table of my dear departed mil's (it wasn't me as I never had that one), but the guilt goes on. My own home personality has felt stifled, which is awful as I am a home bird. Since I've started kondoing the living room I love being in there. When I wake up in the night I go and get a drink and will just spend 5 mins sitting and looking at the bits I've done, such a lovely feeling. Can't wait to empty the units of carp, but even those aren't so overwhelming - its like the nice bits are taking over and pushing aside the carp bits :rotfl:
I feel a lot of guilt about the things I have, it's a gift or it cost a lot or it is from a time with whoever. I have no idea how to get over it so if you have a tip then it'd be most welcome.

Massive well done with the new loan, just remember to funnel as much as you can into the loan :)

Hi and thank you KP. Konmarie says that gifts were meant for you to enjoy. And that the act of giving is what matters. The person got pleasure from the giving. That it's great if you can use the gift and get pleasure from it but if it's causing distress (by keeping something you don't want) then you shouldn't keep it as the person who gave it to you wouldn't it to cause unhappiness. Something like that anyway.

I've also got things from relatives that have passed on and Konmarie says that it's fine to let those things go too. The things aren't that person and you have your memories. My difficulty is that my DH may want to keep things from his mum, or his family may want the things so I will have to exercise caution. She also writes about burdening people with your cast offs because you don't want to let them go. All my stuff is going to the CS in future unless I know someone would like it.

I gave my new mop a good test drive earlier. My kitchen floor looks amazing and I love Mr mop head. It's a flat one with the little magnet and the squeezer (spontex). I treated myself to a new bucket too - don't I push the boat out :rotfl: Worked a treat. Old one will go to the dump this week. House feels very fresh tonight, what a gorgeous day.

Well I've made a little headway with the spare room. Some books brought downstairs and some in the charity box. I meant to add a few bits to fleabay today but was enjoying the sun too much. I had one item ending with about 9 watchers but no bids. I think everyone was enjoying the big yellow :). The main task will be the paperwork, gonna need all the Konmarie tactics for that. The other task I need to tackle are the units downstairs and then my clothes. I will be emptying the shed gradually. Really need to start touching up the decorating as well. Maybe once it's all done I'll feel able to start my chalkpainting and sewing projects happily :rotfl:

I'm back!!!! I managed very little sleep last night with a poorly Jellytot boiling me to death. I too was a very cramped being, sleeping in a denim skirt and a unicorn t-shirt (of course) ;) But she was right as rain this morning so she begged to go to nursery where we discovered that her little 'best friend' also counts Jelly as her own best friend, and told her mummy so. Two very excited little girls bumping into each other on the way to nursery today :) true love!

Well done on continuing the KonMarie. I haven't done much recently but I am going to be moving soon (I hope) so am clearing my head of some stumbling blocks, and moving forward :D once I have somewhere to go, I can truly clear out :D

I am one of those people who needs a clean workspace in order to work effectively. Maybe that is why you can't start your projects happily. :D Although mine is as much about not doing the work as it is about cleaning up ready to work.. :rotfl:

Thanks for keeping up with my ramblings. I am keeping up with you too and very very proud of you (and DH!! :T) for the way you are ploughing ahead. xx

Thank you Lilty. Love that littley has a best friend - so sweet and so lovely :) and glad she feels well again.

Yes Konmarie is definitely something psychological, strange things are happening here, it's definitely something organic and can't be rushed.

its lovely of you to pop in, you are so busy, I really appreciate it, means a lot. I would love to have my craft space sorted, but it's coming together slowly, almost making itself rather than me starting with a fixed idea. Funny how things happen when you allow them to :)

    Take care. SS1K xx

Oh bless, that's so sweet. I mean, you swap best friends at a rate of 3 an hour at that age but it's very sweet!

How do you declutter with another person's belongings? I'm just doing my own things, I would like to get rid of all my sister's things but...

What's in the shed? I hope there's treasure. Or a treasure map.
