Gotta love a new mop and bucket
. I'm still in lurve with my steam mop I was given 2 Christmases ago
However, I wasn't impressed when the ex-OH bought me a mop and bucket for our anniversary one year :rotfl:

Thanks Ali. I was going to get a new steam cleaner sometime. Will have a look at the mops next time I see them. My ex bought me a footpump and some thermal vests one year - opened in front of his family - now that's why he's an ex! :rotfl:

Been out most of the day, so not much (any!) kondoing, cleaning or otherwise.
Called into a couple of CSs and found a lovely vase for a pound. Couldn't resist. Then called in next one and found a pair of Arthur Woods cats for a fiver. I wouldn't normally, but these are very cute. They look lovely on the mantle. DD was disgusted, I think she feels we have enough clutter. But as soon as I saw these I had a spark of joy. I washed the grime off at home and they look lovely. When I compare them to our 'clutter' I know I won't have much problem saying farewell to it. (Edit - 'it' being the stuff we are keeping because someone gave it to us)
Also made a furniture purchase for the craft room - a table! Can't wait to make a start on that room tomorrow and my sewing machine is already sat on the new table. Many things to go on fleabay type sites in the morning.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Just read some of your posts, well done on your journey. I completely agree with you about kondoing, I stumbled across it on here and it's transformed my diddy one bedroom flat into useable space again!! Such a great idea.0

I've just been catching up on your thread supersaver. I did laugh with you getting excited over a new mop. I'm really impressed with your kondoing efforts. I read it a while back and to be honest it irritated me so I ignored it. I think after reading this I may look at it again. You've inspired me.
Well done on the savings.

Glad it gave you a giggle Parsniphead
. You set me off now, it really is funny. :rotfl::rotfl: I was speechless - you can imagine :rotfl::rotfl:
I'm going to give DH a big hug when he gets in, my mop wouldn't be so exciting if I found it under the tree :rotfl::rotfl:
Am really excited about the savings. I know it's a smidgen of our debt, but we want to make sure we can survive if anything happens especially now that MrSS is SE. On the good news front too is that the car is up for its balloon payment soon (nearly £14k paid:eek: we made it), so I sucessfully got a loan from santendar last night at 4.2% and included one of the CCs. Will mean a reduced interest rate from 6.9% and £100 less a month payments. I've left the remaining two CCs on the slightly higher rate for now and will throw any overpayments at those two now. Can't wait to update the signature next week when it comes through. So near and yet so far....
Hope everyone having a good day, it's beautiful weather here. XOSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Thanks for popping by lcc86, I love kondo at the moment as I've been surrounded by carp that I daren't get rid of and even the other day my bil was bemoaning the fact I'd gotten rid of a table of my dear departed mil's (it wasn't me as I never had that one), but the guilt goes on. My own home personality has felt stifled, which is awful as I am a home bird. Since I've started kondoing the living room I love being in there. When I wake up in the night I go and get a drink and will just spend 5 mins sitting and looking at the bits I've done, such a lovely feeling. Can't wait to empty the units of carp, but even those aren't so overwhelming - its like the nice bits are taking over and pushing aside the carp bits :rotfl:
I know what you mean Parsniphead some of its a bit weird, like thanking your handbag for its work. But I think it's just about appreciating the stuff you have - I took off my coat the other day and it was a pleasure to have worn it and a pleasure to put it back on the kondoed coat rack. I don't think I've felt that before. Remember that song about it's not getting what you want, but wanting what you've got? I've quoted it before, but now it's really starting to make sense for me.

I love my bed and I love my car. I don't think I've ever told them but they must know I like them as I spend a lot of time with them. :rotfl:
I treated my car to a proper valet the other day, I might treat my bed to a new throw soon. I'd like a new mattress but it's super king and I think the memory foam ones are expensive
