Hi Noa,
Thank you, I'm really pleased with how its gone. I've got to say that my own paper pile filled me with a sense of doom and gloom - I had to really steel myself to get on with it, and any hint of an escape route and I would have been down it like a rabbit down a hole.
I did it though :j I'm now stuck with several empty boxes and lots of files and folders :rotfl: Four of the boxes are the really useful boxes, so I'm thinking of decanting my Xmas decorations into them (currently they are in cardboard boxes) and ditching the cardboard ones. But I'm holding fire until the shed is clear as they may be useful there. I've still got a bit of Rubics cube to play with furniture - chest of drawers from my room has to go, so that small dressing table from spare room can go in its place to free up space for a unit in the spare room :rotfl::rotfl: Why is nothing ever easy?
On the very good side I had a rearrangement of DDs room today and she loves it. It was just moving the bed and desk from adjacent walls to the same walls. It feels so much more comfortable and homely now. Honestly this KMing really is catching - we've struggled for about 4 years to make that room feel good.
I've just been trying to back up my photos onto Amazon Prime which I bought today for £39 but it looks like its going to be a lengthy job (I tried to drag and drop the whole folder, but it seemed to drag just the folder and not the photos inside). Tomorrow I'm going to sort the photos, delete any I don't want to save, then highlight and drag them over as one - then I'll go out for the day :rotfl: Slightly miffed that I didn't read the T&Cs and it seems I won't be able to take advantage of the free book as I don't have a kindle - I was going to use my tableNot happy
So I'm determined to use the photo storage and the videos as much as I can.
I would love to come and help with your paperwork - but honestly just bin it all - I pulled out a very few things and the rest went for destruction at the local recycling plan. However, BBQ and a glass/half a bottle of bubble would be very welcome. I feel like I've done so much today/this week and that DH has not been appreciative enough. He's just tired, but then so am I. I just have to accept that I am going to be my own cheerleader/mood booster.
I had a whizz round with the hoover and mop earlier and the whole house seems to sparkle. It really is amazing how much easier it is to clean without all the carp bursting out at the seams. May be KMing a DH if he's not careful :rotfl::rotfl:
Oh well, off to bed. Hopefully will get a good night's sleep tonight. Have a good weekend too.

Can just see you kondoing DH .
1) Take one DH and fold neatly in half length ways
2) Fold again, widthways.
3) Take one arm and leg and wrap over neck
4) Repeat with the other arm and leg
5) tie a knot with the loose ends
6) File in drawer for later use, or discard
7) If discarding, do not impulse buy another. Use MSE rules to make decision....(Do I want it, Do I need it, Can I afford it).
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Have a lovely weekend

Thank you Ali, and Noa - that really made me giggle. He's made his own breakfast this morning - it took some strength not to give in - then I got a kiss before he left
I've not been posting as much as normal lately, what with all the kondoing, but it has been such a mammoth task. I've been kondoing the kitchen plastics and cooking bits today - its so satisfying. Sat her in my pinny (rubber gloves off) I feel like Bree Vandercamp :rotfl:
Washing is all done and put away already, airing cupboard is kondoed so it was easy. Spare room is still in progress - the rubik's cube is getting there - been using some of the leftover boxes around the rest of the house - airing cupboard and kitchen so far. Its such wise advice not to buy anymore storage until you've finished kondo.
I know I keep saying this but previously I was buying storage to store stuff in that I really didn't need, and then I was spending my time trying to keep it tidy  it was an impossible task. The other thing I keep saying is that I've done so much, but still feel like there's so much to do - not sure where all this energy is coming from :rotfl:
Have a great day everybodyxx

Just a quick Sunday visit. Bit of Kondoing done this morning and last night. I didn't get the shed done, but DH has given me permission to throw everything except the car cleaning stuff. So that is going to be next weekends job. I also haven't started the chalk painting, but I think that will start after the shed is clear. I almost want to get everything clear before I start the creative bits - not sure why, it just feels right.
I've enjoyed putting things in place today and rearranging things, then went for a family walk, watched a movie and hap a nap. Feel very relaxed. I now feel ready to start my frugal menu planning again, somehow feel organised and together. Looking forward to a great summer break.

Saw you on the KM thread! I was like I KNOW THAT ONE! :rotfl:
Your kondoing is so good, you sound like you're jumping in with both feet. Just remember that if you get tired, take a break. You're better off not burning out on kondoing.
With the whole buying new things, I find that I know think about where I would put something and I can't think of where I'd put it then I don't get it.0 -
Thanks KP. Yes, it's great to meet on other threads, great minds and all that :rotfl:
D'ya know, I want to buy a chair. Seen a couple on eBay and preloved and previously (as I did the other week) I'd go running off and buy something cheap that would do - and I considered that last night, then this morning I considered some more and said to myself 'No!' I've created such a lovely feel in the house I don't want to have anything that would drag that down. We have an old beanbag and a dining chair and that will do until we find/can afford 'the one'.
Oh the times, they are a changing.... :j:eek::j
But seriously, I feel so empowered by that decision. Plus I watched a film and had a snooze in front of the TV instead of running round getting tat :rotfl::T
Thanks for dropping by. I really do think KM has changed me.. Corny and unbelievable as it sounds :cheesy: :rotfl:

Ahh, well it's a standard wait of 6 weeks from your year end for your bill..phone in or email your reading on the date so it's dead accurate and then mark 6 weeks forward on your calendar or diary
. Chase after that point!
Even better your outfit is getting another outing :T
Ah so I need to chase if no joy by September. Seems a very long time. Do you think I will already have been switched over to the new tariff?OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Just changed my signature this morning. There are several things going on financially, all good and all organising things for the better at the moment, but they won't all come to fruition until the tax rebate comes in (fingers crossed). Its just a bit of a waiting game, and I've been re-doing the spreadsheets and then re-doing them a different way. Think I just have to wait for the Summer to be over to do the calculations properly. I've been looking at long-term goals instead, which are always hard because there are always what if's, but I've plumped for the middle line and that's informed my new targets
Yes things could and will most likely happen in between, but we'll tackle those when they come. The great thing is that things are still heading in the right direction, we've had a slightly spendy time, but in a controlled way, so now is the time to dig in again and hopefully in a couple of months the spreadsheets will tell an even better story. For now the aim is just to keep heading in the right direction
Lots of little jobs to do this weekend, which I will take great joy in finally completing, plus probably a sweep around the charity shops with the aim of buying nothing unless its a great find :rotfl:
Have a great weekend everyone. I'm looking forward to reading up on everybody's threads.:):)

What goals are these? I love working out my long term goals, splitting them into smaller sections, attaching dates and rewards to them....
I've been following your progress on the KM thread, you're doing so well!0
