I wouldn't wear only red to a wedding, largely as I don't like being all in red, but wore a red fascinator and scarf along with a black (apparently I no no I have recently learned lol) and cream dress. If you are comfy you will be happier and look happier and that will make the couple happier too as most couples like to see :) 's coming back to them!

    I've been Money Tipped!
I always heard red was considered weird for funerals, not weddings.

Wear it if you like it! :)

Red makes you stand out too much in pics. Green is unlucky. Black is for funerals. White so you arent copying bride
From those you've listed, there was only red as a colour that I hadn't heard the objection before. :D

Red means you're sleeping with the groom.

I'm sure you're not, but that's why some people think it's rude. Ever heard the expression 'scarlet woman'?

Well, you learn something new everyday! I've never heard of anyone saying that before, but I guess I can see the thinking behind it....although, it wouldn't stop me from wearing it though!

I think as long as you don't wear white, then basically anything goes, so go for it OP!

I thought white, pale cream and black were on the "better not" list for weddings. Red sounds fine.

Wear what you like. I picked a black suit when I was a size 16, and I misread the date so the marquee was being dismantled when I turned up. I used the outfit until I lost weight, and I have no clue if the couple are still toghether. Weddings..bleh!

    ...

    Wow!

That means that I may have - inadvertently - put the rumour mill into overdrive at eight weddings. At least. :o

Wear what you want. Wear a tutu if it takes your fancy.

They are getting married. If the bride was going to have doubts, she'd have had them way before it came to that day. If she did, and didn't do anything about it - her problem, not yours.

If you get jealous/bitter about random women at your own wedding, you have bigger problems than being upset over the colour of a guest's dress.

Ew. Gives a whole new meaning to the fact that my 82 year old aunty wore a red suit to our wedding...
