Quite unbelievable that CS are telling people that it is an error. It is designed to be debited, and credited if you qualify for the credit, and for both these transactions to show on your transaction list.

Got refunded after I called them, they said it was debited in error and that everyone was affected

I queried it last month and they refunded the charge plus £3.00 for telephone calls and goodwill payment of £10.00.

    Hi Justin1970 and MABLE,

As a few others have said on this thread, even if you qualify for the fee waiver, the fee will still be debited. It'll then be refunded to your account on the same day (before midnight). This will happen every month you qualify for the fee waiver, so it's not a fault. I'm sorry you were given incorrect info when you called us about it.

    Thanks,

    Craig

Was due to have my monthly interest paid on the 2nd, still no sign, although the £5 fee has been taken and refunded ok. Anyone else experienced this? Thanks.

Did you pay out 2 DDs during June?

I have two Direct Debits set up (both credit cards), although since I had a large refund, my Amex didn't withdraw any money and there is a credit on my account - I assumed that since the DD is still on the account, it would be ok?

    Never assume anything!...
Earn monthly tiered interest on your balance when you pay at least 2 different direct debits from your account each calendar month

I was told when I set up my account in the branch that it was only necessary to have the direct debits set up on the account. However, on reading the terms and conditions I decided that the adviser was wrong.

She had also said I couldn't have the regular saver as I already had one set up against the vantage account. But when I persisted she went to check and found that there was no reason why I couldn't have the club lloyds one as well.

It always pays to read the terms and conditions very carefully.

    Hi Frogletina,

Sorry about that. Which branch did you visit? I'll pass on some feedback to them if you can let me know.

    Thanks,
