Interest earned and skimmed off already other than £2 for the DD's due out this month. £1500 in by SO this morning, £400 into the regular saver with the remaining £1,100 working its way through the Vantage accounts by SO before findings its way to the joint 123 Account0

I received 1p interest on the £10 in the account even though no direct debits were processed until today. Makes me think I should have put the £5k in."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

I got the full interest with only a single DD present and no actual payment.
I'm guessing that the first month is "free". Ie, it doesn't matter if you have any DDs setup or payments made.
In which case, next month will be the telling one.0 -

Ditto. Only managed to get 1 DD set up in the space of time I had since opening it and 'risked' depositing the full £5k for 12 days. So no conditions are applied in the first account month (i.e. no fee as a result of not paying in £1500 and no DD requirement for interest).0 -

I have a Tesco savings account and have just opened a second one.
When opening the new account, Tesco recognised me as an existing customer and already lists the same linked accounts - will it create a 2nd direct debit to Lloyds if I choose it to fund the account?

Thanks for the info.
Just to check one point though. When did you open your account? Did you open it in March or April?
If it was April then there is a chance still that the 2 Tesco DD's don't count as everyone gets a 'free pass' on the account restrictions in their first month. So it could be that they don't count and you were given the interest any way but for May won't.
Hopefully that isn't the case but it is worth checking if you are in your second month of having the account or not.0 -
Account application successful email was 30th March
Edit: just checked, and initial £1500 funding went in on the 31st March.
Perhaps still inconclusive, as they may have given some slack due to it being so late in March. I have had the fee waived this month though.
Perhaps others that are using 2x Tesco DD may have opened theirs earlier and could confirm?0 -
I am using 2 Tesco DDs and the interest has been paid on both of our accounts.0

Using two Tesco accounts of the same type; interest paid.0

Is anyone else having trouble opening the associated Lloyds CLub Regular saver online? My partners account opened fine but with mine, every time I get to the stage where I have to login it says that there's been a technical problem and the transaction cannot be processed.
I phoned Lloyds but, after passing me around four departments, they concluded that it was a known problem and I'd have to spend 40 minutes on the phone to open an account that takes less than 4 minutes online. Sod that!0
