what sort of real problems does the 'claim culture' (whatever that may be) create? What exactly do you think is wrong with asking a company to delivery in accordance with their promises?0 -

Then Lloyds should improve it's customer service not let it deteriorate like it has done since the king of poor customer service ex-Santander boss Antonio Horta-Osorio took over.
Both mine and the Missus's applications for Club Lloyds fell over from the start and they initially said it would take 14 days to fix until we formally complained and it was then finally fixed within the hour. They then screwed up handling a simple HMRC gross interest form for her.
Prior to that they irrepairably screwed up in branch the flag for the previous 4% bonus on vantage accounts. Someone somewhere in Lloyds changed my name from Mr to Mrs meaning I cannot ever get access to some of my accounts history....ever... even after it was put right. The tales of woes go on, all of which have required endless hours of phone calls, e-mails and visits to branches.
I'm not in favour of a compensation culture. I'm also not in favour or tolerant of woeful incompetence.
EDIT: I could leave Lloyds.. but their rates are worth milking!!If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.0 -
Can anyone give a link to where it actually lists the magazines available ?
I get emails urging me to chose, I follow the links for more details, but they just go round in circles without actually listing the magazines.
I imagine they will be ones I don't want - unlikely to be Practical Classics, or the magazines of the Triumph 2000 or Series II landrover owners clubs. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

(.. no it's: "where is my interest?..").....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -
Well of course that's inevitable (the question I mean) It's not like people with Club accounts are vantage virgins , so haven't been querying for the last four years each month why, when the interest on them is applied at the end of the first working day of each month (and so only shows the next day with the previous day's date.....
(.. no it's: "where is my interest?..")
im not sure if this was a dig at me, but i have not had a vantage account or any account with lloyds/tsb.. its a question worth asking and hopefully now we all know whether new or old when interest is paid on this account.0 -

As per their terms, interest is calculated daily and paid monthly, at the end of the 1st working day of the month, so that is later today and therefore, as KTF has said, should be in account by tomorrow.
Edit: oops, crossed post, see it has already been answeredbutterfly )i(0 -
I have 3 x Vantage a/c, recycling the min £1000 per mth pay in.
As I can only have 1 x Club a/c, to fund the £1500 p/mth pay in requirement to Club,, I could change the other 2 Vantage in/outs to £1500, set up the 3rd £1500 to go to Club, then this would ?? be OK.
(I know leaving the other 2 Vantages at 1.5 isnt ideal, but this is getting complicated).
Re the direct debits. I have an account at Monmouth BS. What do I need to do to set up a direct debit (presume ask them for a form), but don't want toactually move any direct debts from elsewhere, just set up new one. Could this be for £1 say from Monmouth... who would I pay ... myself at any other Bank? That is then a direct debit, ,yes ?
That's at odds to what's on here, Tesco et.al, have to be in someones name?
Am I misreading it.
I will be closing my 3 A/cs Vantage, in 1st July, @ 1.5%, looking at TSB, but, have 3 with them too, expecting the same as Lloyds;Bos too.;
I always use my Isa allowance, but Don't expect rates to be any good, just Rolled 2 over and added this years with Nationwide @ 2.05% fixed 2 years.not good, but, having all my isas, ex peps, toisas, it mounts up to a tidy amount tax free.all fixed.0
