Does anybody know how long it takes for the account to be opened once I've gone into branch and showed them my ID? They've already assigned me an account number and sort code. Am just wondering whether they have to post my photocopied ID off somewhere via snailmail, or it's just an internal branch action.
Will pop-in there tomorrow with my ID.0 -

When I had to do this, I took mine in at the start of April. Nothing ever happened, so opened one in branch last week...
Incidentally, the same happened (nothing) with TSB Plus so ended up opening those in branch too!0 -

I got my letter today confirming the reduction in Vantage interest rates to 1.5% from 2 July 2014
Guess we will just empty them from that date and cease rolling 1k into each account but not close them for now..0 -

You forgot to mention that the letter also states that
"from the 2nd July 2014 to continue to earn interest on the vantage accounts you must now pay two different direct debits from your account each month. This is in addition to staying in credit for the monthly billing period and paying in £1,000 or more per calendar month.""Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0 -

Thanks
Haven't got my letter yet, so useful to know what it says. CBA with all that for 1.5%0 -
I agree with you, I will just keep the new Lloyds club account for which I now have 3 direct debits set up."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0
