I got told that I was accepted at the end of the application and was asked which Lifestyle benefits I wanted. I then logged in and the account was ready to use.
Hmm, I was asked which Lifestyle benefit I wanted as well, but I wasn't informed the account was open. I was told they'd send me an email and/or text shortly.
My guess was that because I applied around 1am, the credit reference agencies were down.0 -
I successfully applied for a lloyds club account yesterday and set up user id and a password but am unable to login as the system fails to recognise my user id. Is this because I need to wait for further details via snailmail so that I can activate the account?0

Are you sure you were asked for a user id and password, as my user id was provided by Lloyds in writing and it's 9 digits long.0 -
I've finally been sent an email regarding my Club Lloyds application. Oddly, is says "Thank you for applying for a Club Lloyds. We've reserved an account number and sort code for you but your account is not open yet. The account number is xxxxxxxx and sort code xx-xx-xx. Please provide us with the following forms of ID - Passport and utility bill etc".
Seems odd as I've had an account with Lloyds TSB before, and am on the electoral roll, so they shouldn't have had any problems confirming my identity (usually banks can verify me electronically).
Looks like I'll have to visit one of their branches on Tuesday.0 -

I opened a Club Lloyds for the OH, who didn't currently have any accounts with them, and was asked for a user ID and password. I used the old user ID they had before the LTBS split and was able to access the account immediately.
Just had to wait for the activation code which arrived within 3 days.0 -

One thing that gets me is why Lloyds display your full sort code and account number in an email to you. I know most people can't do that much with just this few pieces of info (other than setup DDs and the like), but I'd still like to keep them private if possible, plus I think I was given them at the end of the application as well, so had plenty of time to note them down.
I wonder how many people would be fooled if someone sniffed this information and then wrote you a spam email with your real name, sort code and account number. Would you believe it was from your own bank?0 -
I never chose a Club Lloyds Lifestyle Benefit because none of them is useful to me, but now I can't figure out how to check more about them anyway. The email I got from Lloyds says to login to Club Lloyds, but this doesn't use the normal online banking login details. When I use the "forgot password" link it doesn't recognise any of the user names that I'd normally use so I'm totally stuck.0

Your Club Lloyds ID is your sort code and account number, with no spaces or dashes.0
