Yes, Flexclusive saver issue 5. No limitations for deposits or withdrawals, no hoops. Just a plain simple savings account.

Thanks for the info. Glad I kept it open now.

I need to seriously look into the Newcastle BHS as an alternative the the Vantage accounts, especially if the TSB Enhnace accounts go the same way.

Got my letter about the Club account today.
Read this thread from post 561 but didn't find answers to my questions. they've probably been answered before but anyway for others looking at this thread for the first time:

Can I transfer my three Vantage accounts straight into three newly oped Club accounts, assuming you can have three Club accounts?

Could I rotate the £1500 each month in a similar way to rotating the £1000 for the Vantage account?
If three Club accounts are allowed do I have to have two DDs for each account?

Can all this be done online or is a visit to the Branch required.
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.

No only one Club Account allowed

Could I rotate the £1500 each month in a similar way to rotating the £1000 for the Vantage account? Yes
If three Club accounts are allowed do I have to have two DDs for each account? See above

Can all this be done online or is a visit to the Branch required.

Done some more scrolling and found the above answers.

But I did see one post where someone said they had an account somewhere giving 5%.
Is this correct and where is that account and the details.

TSB are offering a Classic Plus current account paying 5% gross AER - on everything up to £2K, nothing on any excess amount. I believe you can have two of those accounts. No need for DDs.

Curses...have just had a "Welcome to Club LLoyds" letter....I won't be a happy bunny closing the three vantage accounts. They were nice little earners. There is no way I can set up DD x2 on each.. and for what? very little interest.
I shall have to make do with jsut the Club one and switch 2 DDs from Halifax!

Maybe I shall have to consider the new TSB Plus a/c for £2000 of savings as I see there are no DD requirements.

    Other ideas?
Is anyone paying more than 2%? Not keen on Santander.
Aargh have done a quick search online and the best (ha ha) are paying around 1.25%

Just looked at T&Cs for the new TSB Classic Plus a/c and I spotted this

"We’re happy for you to ‘try before you buy’ so you can see how it feels being a TSB customer. Other banks insist you move your standing orders and direct debits before they’ll give you their special deals."

Perhaps at a later stage they will bring in the DDs etc?

I can't see anything about how many of these accounts you may have.

Looks like I shall be setting up more SOs from the Halifax...sighs

Are/were TSB also doing something similar to Lloyds Vantage, i.e. 3% on an allowable three accounts with 4 to 5 k in each???

Without going back through this thread can someone tell me why I can't convert my Vantage account online, I get a message telling me to contact my branch?

I converted our joint account and my wife's Vantage account a while ago online, although come to think of it we ended up with her sole account under a separate profile which we are waiting to be merged..,,

We have been told only one account each and one joint account.

I went into a branch today after the online Club Lloyds application asked me to go into a branch with ID (it gave me a reference number and my a/c-s/c). The first person said as the gold had rubbed off my passport, she doesn't think it can be used for ID. I asked to speak to someone else. He was very friendly, but I realised he was running through an entire new application instead of just confirming my ID.

He said he 'couldn't find my application, so just ran a new one through'. I told him I wasn't happy as that involves another credit check. Had to sit through the boring video as well.

At least the account is finally open.
