I have Tesco Internet Saver I can use. Does anyone know if you can have more than one of those? I've read the site and the T&Cs and can't see it mentioned.

I found the answer in another thread where someone mentioned having 5 of them. I have managed to open a second one.

Next question. Will DDs from each of the Tesco Internet Savers be acceptable? They will have different account numbers so will be separate mandates.

    Not so as.........

"This standing order must reach your account by the 25th of each month for it to be counted as that month's payment"

    http://www.lloydsbank.com/savings/club-lloyds-monthly-saver.asp

Probably better to open 21st-24th with an immediate £400 and then another on the 1st (IF its PCM and they permit a change to the SO date)

That was my first thought, however if I could get the 1st £400 in today (31st) granted I've missed the deadline of the 25th to get interest on it for March, but I could then get another £400 on 1st April therefore giving me £800 to get interest on for the whole of April rather than the £400 if I left if a few more days (so getting 13 months money into the account rather than 12 months if left another day)...

Additional:- Just checked and the £400 Standing Order has completed from the Club A/c to the Club Monthly Saver, so I've changed the date of the Standing Order for another to go through in a couple of days.

As someone mentioned earlier in this thread.... 2x Tesco Internet Saver DDs works fine for the Halifax Reward accounts. I guess only time will tell is this is also acceptable for Club Lloyds. I suspect Club Lloyds will be happy also as it's sat on the exact same IT systems as the Halifax accounts.

It all depends on what Lloyds class as two different DD's... are they checking for different DD originator references (which will be the same with 2x Tesco accounts), or are they just wanting different DD collection references (which will be different with 2x Tesco accounts). I guess the only way to tell for sure is for someone to try it and see if they get any interest at the end of the month!

I have a Tesco's Internet Saver & an Instant Access Savings, so I've set-up a DD from each of these for the two DD's. So I'll just have to wait and see what happens, this is what I use for my Advantage A/c's and its always work, but time will tell......

    So here's an interesting issue...

I'm one of the ex-LloydsTSB customers who moved to TSB. When I opened my Club account and registered for internet banking, I found I couldn't log in straight away with my username and password. Thinking I must have made a mistake when choosing my password, I decided to try and reset it. I was able to do so and received one of their automated calls as you do when setting up a new payment. After that, I was able to log in using my old LloydsTSB memorable information. I still have limited access, but I don't see anywhere to enter an activation code when it arrives. Other than the missing functionality, everything appears as though my internet banking is fully set up. Is this normal?

I'd suggest that you'll fall foul of the T&C's by making two deposits in any one period exceeding the £400pm limit and would therefore either forfeit your interest entirely (which you won't know about until it's too late) or get one of the payments returned. Either way I think you're asking for problems by trying this. Hopefully you'll be OK, but it's a big risk.

I'm going to hold off until the 21st set the S/O for 23rd and then once paid change to the 1st (probably).

How long do the DD take to appear on the online banking?

As a test I have added one of my Vantage accounts to my existing Tesco Saver and also opened a new Tesco Saver which has been linked to the Vantage.

As/when they appear online I will upgrade the Vantage then use the 2x Tesco accounts to skim off the interest assuming 2x Tesco accounts will fulfil the criteria as there is no mention of the DD being 'different', just that they have to pay out once a month.

If the above works OK then I will do the same trick with my other 4 Vantage accounts. I knew there was a reason why I didnt close them down :)

Tesco are quite quick with the DDs - usually takes less than a week to appear.

I fear you will be disappointed when trying to upgrade your 4 Vantages - you are allowed just one Club Lloyds account.

    Thanks.

When the first one has been upgraded, I will see what options are available when I try to upgrade the others.

I found out that they are having technical difficulties with applications for a new account not an upgrade last night as it made me create a new interent banking ID to complete the application. I now have two seperate Internet banking ID's which they are trying to consolidate.

I applied again for the missus this morning for a new account and exactly the same thing happened. I had to create a brand new internet banking ID. Lloyds are aware of these IT issues but it looks like they have only part fixed the problem.

The new Club account does now appear on her existing ID and I have been told to ignore the new internet banking ID she had to create and disregard the activation code when it arrives in the post.

Mine is still being consolidated under one ID and may take 5 days to fix!! So I can only fund the Club account by payment rather than transfer for now.

So for anyone wanting to add a new account I would hold fire for a while.
If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.
If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.
