    No Probs. :D

Heres a little heads up about 3 .

http://text2topup.com/uk/call_throughs_three/ offer a short code for 3 users which means you can get UK Landline Calls down to 2p a minute.

That's pretty nifty! That works like a carrier pre-select for Three?
So so SO tired of being ripped off, and mislead
    Hope sharing saves some pain.

Its a Mobile short code service, normally used for cheap intl calls, ,lots of them around, 3 have their own. But this one allows cheap UK Landline Calls on 3 where as others dont.

    Note https://www.togglemobile.co.uk 3p a minute 3p a text a Lebara Company is cheaper but requires a £20 top up.

    Lycamobile, not Lebara.

Toggle also has this rate while roaming in about a dozen countries - most of our near neighbours and Australia and USA - which will interest some people

Fingers crossed I gave them my real date of birth so I can get a pac code (normally I'd just log in and look at my profile on their website to see what details I gave them but they have closed all that now grr).

Me too - I rarely give me real date of birth if I feel the company has no real need of it.

I actually had quite good value over 18 months. I never topped up and ran my credit down to 70p so it could have been worse.

I too had quite good value and never topped up. Was annoyed with them though when they stole some of my credit. Didn't matter in the end though I never had need of it.

I'll probably try and request PAC but not that bothered as I never transferred over my original number as I feared something like this might happen.

Any pointers to options for a low user,

Also has good costs for USA and parts of Europe(anywhere will do don't need everywhere).

In the US we currently get a t-mobile free sim and go with the fixed daily rate for the weeks we are there just to keep in touch and make some local calls

A low cost option would be easier so can be slightly more overall.

I would definitely look at Three. Their Feel at Home offering allows you to use your inclusive bundle in a number of countries including the US (though only applies to Italy, Austria, Sweden and Denmark within Europe currently; EU capped charges apply elsewhere).

You'll need to be on a pay monthly contract to benefit from that; the cheapest SIM only is £6.90/month (for a 12 month contract with 200 mins, 5000 texts and 500MB). Out of bundle charges are higher than they would be at home, but still pretty reasonable as roaming charges go. [Edit: It looks like pay-as-you-go add-on bundles also qualify, which if true probably makes this even more attractive to low users who regularly travel overseas.]

Worth noting though that standard roaming charges apply for calls and texts to non-UK numbers, including local calls to the country/areas you are in.

I would choose Three myself were it not for zero coverage at home; unfortunately we're limited to services running on the O2 or Vodafone networks.

Three Payg 3 2 1 with Feel at Home as pointed out above.

    http://www.three.co.uk/Store/Pay_As_You_Go_Price_Plans and see:

Or https://www.togglemobile.co.uk 3p a minute landline or mobile and 3p a text , as Redux points out Toggle also has this rate while roaming in about a dozen countries - most of our near neighbours and Australia and USA.

My ovivo phone is still allowing incoming texts if that is any use to anyone wishing to alert an ovivo only phone owner of the demise!! I assume it is because the person contacting the ovivo phone is paying from their end. It might also work with voice calls I don't see why not.

Correct, but you do need to buy an add-on to be able to get the "Feel-at-Home" roaming rates - you cannot just use your ordinary credit.
