    Morning all

Kyle - I've been using the Scholl cracked heal cream - it's about a fiver but works in a couple of days so well worth the money.

Hypno06 - I didn't realise it could a hormonal problem - seems right though as I've never suffered before but on fertility hormones at the moment so would explain it.

Jackio - Good luck with your results today. Fingers crossed here for you.

DLB - Do you have air vents in the bedrooms - maybe some rain has blown into those making it smell a bit damp and musty? I know that happens in my DD's room when the rains at a certain angle.

Hugs to the rest of you who want or need them today.

DD2 has finally gone back to school so my first day alone in the house for weeks!! :T As a reward for being such a wonderful Mummy and nurse to everyones illnesses I'm giving myself the day off - I've done the bare basics and the rest of the day is for me - going to watch a film, do some sewing, have a nice hot bubble bath and generally relax.

Worked out last night that from various click through sites, quidco, MS jobs and online surveys I made over £700 last year - I was very impressed with that.

Made hobnobs yesterday - wow - they've gone down a storm here - DD2 was putting them on the baking tray and put them a little to close together so we ended up with one giant one rather than individual ones but scored them whilst still warm and they've come out great.

Jackets with tuna mayo/beans/egg mayo for dinner tonight - not much effort involved.

Hope you all have a great day

It is absolutely chucking it down here:eek: . It's supposed to be DSs first sports day today. Poor things are going to be so disappointed if they can't get out. I will be too, I spent an hour in the Metro Centre hunting down a yellow t-shirt for DS for the occasion.

    Good luck JackieO

Need to get on the track of the ironing today (I had to type "today" twice as the first time it came out as "tomorrow" - Freudian slip? )

Right - my egg is boiled, so I'm off to have breakfast. Take care all.:T

    Morning Every1.

((((Hugs)))) to every1 - from most of the posts looks like a lot of peeps can do with a hug! Crossing fingers for you JackieO.

BusyGirl - take it easy! I had pleurisy when I was 7 yrs old and it took ages to get over. Don't push it. If you need to rest then do. You've only got one set of lungs! I remember having a chest x-ray when I was 10 and the doctor pointing out that there was no lung damage showing from the pleurisy - so I guess it can be quite a problem in some cases.

Well I woke up at 3:30 with a song going through my head, which usually means staying awake for ages, so I just gave up trying to sleep straight away and got up and read until 5:30. Also watched PsychoKitty play with my 20 yr old Mum-cat. Was quite pleased to see that the Mum-cat started some of the play and she wasn't being tormented by the fluff-ball.

Blitzed quite a bit of the kitchen yesteday, and it looks quite reasonable Mind you, was doing it all the way to 8pm! Now need to blitz in here as OH using this room as office working from home tomorrow. Also need to blitz allotment, so will see what I feel like when the caffeine finally kicks in!

    Have a good one,

    Morning everyone!

Amie Have a chat with the school. What happened to your daughter is serious, and I wonder if her classmates realise the severity of it. But don't indulge her panic attacks too much. Of course she gets panicky and needs some reassurance, but if you're not careful she'll end up with demophobia (fear of crowds, had to look it up).
Donny Retirement is brilliant, but it can take a while to settle down. When I worked, I used to be up at 6.00am, and starting work at 6.30am. Now I rarely see 8am. I never thought I would be like this, it took a while. DH also finally slowed down...first couple of months he was like a man possessed.
hil Good luck with the interview
JackieO and Luxor Thinking of you both
<<BusyGirl>>Lots of hugs and get well wishes sent to you
    <<Crazychik>>All the best sweetie
And hello to those missing in action: PenPen, PenPin, Rzl,Smokey,Moggins,Racy,MrsTM....the list is getting longer and longer!

Well, it's quite sunny here at the moment but, as the Fenceman is starting work, I'm sure it'll be raining before long. Incredible volume of rain yesterday. My thoughts are with those people in Doncaster etc.

Fenceman warned me that a lot of our shrubs (Buddleia etc) will have to be cut down, and some may have to be cut out completely if they are in the line of the fence. I understand that, but he's just started doing it and my garden is full of cut-off-branches. <sigh> The good thing is that I'm sure some of them will grow back, and we can take the opportunity to thin them out properly etc when he's done.

I've told him we want the good side of the fence facing us. I then explained that it's not actually our boundary, it's next doors, and so I think it's OK to get the good side of the fence. I obviously still feel guilty about it though as I feel the need to explain why!

Quick swish and swipe today, plus sweeping all the downstairs floors. WM on, DW will go on after breakfast. DH making dinner (Moroccan Lamb tagine), so I've said I'll pop out and get the bits he needs later. Hopefully I can slip to the Gym at the same time.

Restarted drinking Kefir yesterday, and I feel calmer today. I'm sure it's probably psychosomatic, but I don't care. Whatever the cause, I feel better.

Well, think it's time for tea. Will catch up with the cross posters and later posters later.

    Morning all!

Best wishes to Amie. Hope you get the problems sorted at school. Gingham Ribbon - sounds like baby's at a really lovely stage at the minute! Every day you notice some new development and achievement. :) BusyGirl - Hope you feel better soon. Take it easy if you can! xx

I had a bad night's sleep. Baby was keeping me up - the sign of things to come no doubt! Also having very painful Braxton Hicks contractions on a regular basis throughout the night. (Not getting my hopes up of any impending arrival though. This has been happening for months now and I've still got 10 days to go till official due date.)

Have been feeling really miserable, lethargic and exhausted lately. Today, I feel slightly more motivated in spite of the disturbed night - so I'm setting myself some targets to achieve!

    Jobs done so far:
    One load of washing done
Car insurance taken out online (and Quidco cashback tracked already!)
Time spent on here browsing (valuable time invested in rest and relaxation!) ;)

    Jobs to do:
    Washing to hang out
Yesterday's load to sort and put away
    Hoover upstairs and downstairs
Kitchen floor to mop (Might bring something on) :D
    Washing up
    Clean out fridge
    Change double bed
Buy moses basket mattress (The last baby item on the list)
Take some clutter to charity shop
Offer some stuff up on Freecycle
Sort through vouchers and offer up unwanted ones on www.paidtoshop.co.uk
List some books on Amazon (last ditch attempt to declutter pre-baby)
    Sort through admin/paperwork/financial stuff
Have a nice bit of brunch! ;)

That little lot should keep me going for a while! I'll see how far I get later. :o

Hope you all have equally productive and pleasant old-style days. :)

    Hi all,
done b****er all so far today so promising myself that I'll type this then get on. We've all got a cold here so DS was up between 12am and 1.30am last night (thats my excuse for lazy start to day)
I did get OH packed lunch ready though and got DS dressed, breakfasted on homemade porridge/egg and fruit smoothie and off to nursery.

    list for today:
washing - get as much dried as possible
Study - at least 4 hrs on assignment due in next week
    Tidy Living room
    Hoover living room
cook curry + dhal for tonights tea - this requires me buying some veg.
load new software onto my laptop
Put some washing away - I'm sure DS will grow up to think wardrobes are for decoartion and that clean clothes live on the kitchen table in baskets.
DEBT: £500 credit card £800 Bank overdraft

Hi Guys ,thank you for all your good wishes I too am hopeful that I get good news ,but whatever happens I shall try to keep positive .:D
I took my grandson to the studios yesterday as he is doing extra work on the Basil Brush show It will be screened at Christmas apparently .I am so pleased for him as he is making an effort to earn a few bob extra, and not rely on his parents during his 10 weeks between school and college He has sent his cv's to every shop and buisiness in the area .He does a monthly leaflet drop which after delivering 700+ leaflets he earns £22.00. Disgusting money, but he is willing to do anything to earn .He has the right attitude and I think he will go far.
My brother rang me from France this morning to wish me luck this afternoon and he says that the weather has been appalling there as well.
He is cross as he can't get the roof on to his new house that he is in the process of building .He says he no sooner goes up a ladder then down comes the rain and he has to stop. He has already built one house that he is living in at the moment ,but is building a second one to rent out in the summer (when he gets one )
My sis-in-law comes home from Dubai tomorrow and she is going to feel a bit chilly as it's 44 degrees out there at the moment:eek:
Well, time I went and organised something for lunch. I am off to the hospital this afternoon so I may pop in later ,hopefully with some good news, fingers crossed.
Take care everyone and <<hugs >> to those in need .
