Bore Da (Good morning)
Stitches came out well yesterday & didn't disgrace myself by going dizzy, which is a minor miracle.
Couldn't reach fabric for pinny so will have to get number 1 son to lift the boxes today - fabric stash is huge!!
Today first ever Tesco delivery will arrive - I have resisted so long as I imagined that everything will be wrong.
Appointment card came yesterday to see the ENT surgeon re biospy result on Friday, but still have to see Lymph specialist on Tuesday too: well, if its good it will be worth hearing again, and if it is not so good then I will be used to it.
Shall continue my hunt for tmf Aqua Fresh into town today, just in case Boots staff have forgotten what I look like!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Morning everyone!
Not been around for a few days as I've been quite ill. Ended up leaving work after about half an hour on Friday and then spent two days in bed sweating, vomiting and passing out. I managed to see a doctor yesterday and she told me I have pleurisy! I knew I was coming down with something last week but didn't expect to be so ill over the weekend. Family and friends have been brilliant helping with the kids and DH has earned tons of brownie points for everything he's done too.
The Head told me not to go into school at the end of the week but I'm just going to do Thurs and Friday morning as my nursery graduate and we've put together this great assembly for the school and parents, I'll be devestated if I don't get to do it. The only problems are I can't shout as I've got no energy and my chest is so painful and I walk like Mrs Overall (Acorn Antiques)!
The house needs a good clean but it will have to wait until I'm better. I've ordered some food from Tescos, which is due soon, as I won't be leaving the house until Thursday and I can't face going shopping. I've lost my appetite and can't even face tea or coffee but at least I've lost half a stone.
Hope everyone is ok and hugs to anyone needing one.
Have a healthy day!0 -
Well im back from school run forgot dd nursery is closed today for the new kids to visit, so i dont get my usual 2.5 hours of peace and quite!!! Cbeebies on as i type!!
Its gone really overcast but quite windy so hoping washing drys before the rain comes.
Just popped back on as remembered it is going to be a hard day for Crazychick today, its her fil funeral, so huge hugs to you Emma today, stay strong and we are all thinking about you xxxxxProud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
Morning all! Just found time to come on here! DH has finally gone to work and I have loads to do but I'm taking a break first!
AMIE - your poor DD; I agree, they should have spoken to you first. And you're not a bad mum for thinking that she was just trying to get out of school. When mine said they were ill and wanted to stay home, telling them that they would have to stay in bed all day and couldn't have friends round after school, usually sorted out the 'ill' from the 'just don't want to go to school today'! It does sound as if your DD is genuinely upset and worried about something - I hope things sort out for her.
DONNY - what a run of bad luck you've had! Hope everything starts to look up for you all.
KYLE - Re cracked heels - I have used baby oil in the past which helps if you start using it as soon as the cracks appear, but, for bad cases, Flexitol is very good - the active ingredient is urea so look for any cream which contains that. You could ask your local pharmacist; perhaps he could make something up for you. Also, drink plenty of water because that helps keep the skin hydrated. I know how painful cracked heels are.
HARDUPHESTER - good luck with the MOT; how I hate that time of year even though, for the last six years, mine has gone straight through! It can't last!
HILSTEP - good luck with the interview!
Well, so far this morning it has poured with rain and now, all of a sudden, the sky has turned bright blue and the sun is shining! I'm not easily fooled, though, and don't expect it to last.
I need to get the BM on; WM is already on and the ironing pile has grown again. I will get some of it done today. We're having salad with cold meat and new potatoes for dinner, and banana and kiwi-fruit with yoghurt for pud, so that will be an easy dinner. DGS will be here after school so he'll have chips with his salad, as usual - it's the only time he has chips because his mum's very OS (although she still hasn't joined us on here) so it's a real treat for him.
I must also get some more stuff on eBay but I just haven't got round to it yet; and I must check my Amazon book list. I set holiday settings for when I was away and then reinstated the list when I returned but have not had a sale yet! I was selling an average of two books a week before - either they haven't acknowledged that I'm back or no one wants my books!
I also have a big floor-to-ceiling cupboard in my bathroom that has gradually been filled up with bits and pieces and I really must get that sorted out; I'm wasting valuable space and it looks an eyesore everytime I open the door.
Well, must go and get a wiggle on - I'd love to sit here all day but I can't!
Have a great day, everyone.

BUSYGIRL - I do hope you start feeling better soon. My mum gets pleurisy and it's a dreadful illness. No wonder you've felt so ill.
CRAZYCHIK - thinking about you today.KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:
Squares: 11, Animal blankets: 20 -
Jackie, you have been in my thoughts and prayers all week. I hope you're coming to use today with good news. x
The last few days have been a big deal for the baby. He started rolling confidently a few days ago and yesterday he cut his first tooth. He's in a lovely mood and belly laughs every time our toddler says hello to him.
I have counselling today for the PND finally. The good periods are getting longer so I'm hoping it won't be long before I can put it behind me.
OS stuff today:
Menu plan, do a shopping list and get the shopping in.
Wipe the oven to make sure it stays sparkling clean this time!
Clean and air bathroom.
Vac stairs
Wipe fridge and wash fruit bowl before unpacking shopping/farmaround delivery.
Sweep floors
Make cereal and crunchy seeds in the oven
Lunch: soup and croutons
Dinner: pasta with spinach pesto
I better get on with it. If I've got time I want to drive round a bit to look at different areas round town as we're thinking of moving.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
mornin all havent posted for a week or so, been so busy with the new job, and went away weekend just gone, so thought I best get back on here and catch up!
Got back from Hampshire yesterday, went up for the weekend as my Cousin is over from America, so it was a little family reunion.
Saturday we went into Southampton, which was packed and soooooo busy  Had kids with me too, so was even worse. Note for next time, dont go to southampton on a saturday with children :rotfl: One good thing though, in West Quay shopping centre they had people from Head and Shoulders handing out full size bottles of shampoo for free, we all got 2 each, so came home with 8 bottles of the stuff :T
Sunday we went to my Aunties for a buffet/party and the get together, so I was happy.....lots of food! lol
We went back to the chalet sunday night, kids and my Mum went to bed, whilst me and the OH stayed up and had a drink. About 11pm we heard a bump from the bedroom, went in, and DS had fallen out of the bed and hit his face on the bedside table on the way down, there was blood everywhere. We had to get him to Bournemouth A&E where they glued up the cut
He's ok now, just bruises, cut and its swollen.
Come home yesterday, and my house is a mess  so much unpacking to do, and chores to catch up on. Was so tired yesterday when I got back I didnt touch any of it, and have come to work today all day so wont get a chance to do it till weds, im missing doing housework can you believe, I think its the feeling of being organised im missing :rotfl:
Anyways best be off, time to go do some work.
Bye for now
