Yes, they have sent her to have a chat to the school counsellor, but they just gave her a pass to leave the lessons ect a few mins early to avoid the rush ect and it was him that changed her class for the week, i know when i get her up in a mo that she will get upset at the thought of being in a different class as well as everything else, i think that they should have discussed it with me before changing it, she doesnt want to start upper school in a new class, they are going up from monday so that they have 2 week there to get the feel of the place so that it makes it easier come sept, so i think i need to rtell them to reassure her that she wont be moved, maybe they just though that a few days with her friend might help, my head is just going round in circles, like DG said, id rather take the upset for her. Also she doesnt like school much anyway so some of me thinks is she just trying to get out of going.. i know when i was at school that i would have done or said anything for a day off... now i feel like a bad mum for thinking that

i also have bad cracked heals at the mo !!!!!!! very painfull !!!!!

Guess what? I've got an interview! Just got an email. I teach at the moment, but the old MS is making it harder, so I applied for a job managing our local Oxfam bookshop, (I used to be a librarian) and I've got an intervew on the 20th! Got to prepare a five-minute presentation on how I'd increase sales in the shop. Need OH and DS to help me do a powerpoint presentation.:T

    Have a good day all!

    Morning all

Amie, hope your DD feels better soon, I remember my DS not wanting to go to school and it is heartbreaking.

Donny-gal, looks like you have this retirement sorted, trust me you will soon wonder how you had time to go to work :D

Hilstep, good luck with the interview, I would love to work in a bookshop, but would probably end up buying all the books :rotfl:

Well DH got out of bed, looked out of the window and said the sun was shining, however, half an hour later, guess what - yes it was raining :(
He got caught in a flash-flood yesterday, and seriously thought he might get swept away, and that was in a 4 x 4

Well, we go on holiday on Saturday, in this country, in the caravan, with the dog, so anyone who knows a spell to encourage sunshine, could you please do it now

Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all, hugs to those and their families that need it, good luck for interviews and everything.

Kyle - cracked heels are also hormonal which is why they sometimes don't respond to the cream. Might be worth looking at it from this angle if other things aren't working?

Well, my car thankfully got through the MOT yesterday but I was running (literally) late as my last client prior was late, so running to my car I fell flat on my face. Have grazes on my face and a horrid one on my shoulder, so I look manky and every time I turned over last night in bed, I caught my grazed shoulder.

    Serves me right for hurrying!!

Today is a catch up day - no clients until much later. So housework and admin are the order of the day........oh well.......

Hope you all have a good day x

    Good morning all!

It's lovely and sunny here at the moment, but it did that yesterday so I hung out the washing & half way through the morning found myself out in a downpour trying to rescue the washing before it got too drenched.

Some friends & I went on a nice long (and muddy) walk last night - we usually do a keep fit session together, but decided it was too hot to do that in the summer & a walk would be much nicer. (also one friend has a border collie puppy who needs lots of long walks!) Before we met it was pouring with rain, so I put my waterproof trousers in my pocket, but the rain stopped & it was a really beautiful evening!

Anyway, I have to start getting organised as we are off on holiday on Saturday. We are going to the Lake District, and DH & DS have never been before. Actually, DS & I are the ones who wanted to go there - DH preferred the idea of somewhere like a Greek Island! He keeps on making comparisons, like:

    "Greece - - - - - Lake District
    sunny - - - - - - rainy
    hot - - - - - - - - cold
lay on beach - - - go for long walks
...........what's to compare? Why are we choosing this one?"
I think he's coming round to the idea now, though!

Amie - hope things improve for your DD

Kyle - I like to go barefoot in the house too, but I know that's what causes problems. Some foot cream - or even really heavy duty hand cream & socks overnight usually does the trick (but then I get fed up with all the palaver and the whole process starts all over again.) Ideally we should follow Flylady's advice & wear shoes all day - that's one of the reasons she says it - & goes on about having nice soft feet on her website! But I would hate lace up shoes all day.

Hilstep - hope the interview goes well

JackieO - if you pop in here today - hope all is well

    ((((hugs)))) to all

    Have a good day!
