Final bill today, 5 months after leaving. Guess what - it is wrong !

Over estimated final reading although I gave them a reading on the day I changed over and E.On have billed me from that reading. They owe me 43p but the bill shows I owe them 59p.

Although it is not much it is the principle that they do not act on information supplied - the bill only shows 1 supplied meter read as used on the previous bill when they were supplied with monthly reads and the final read. I have sent them an e-mail to correct it and telling them I am not paying and to send me my credit balance. We will wait and see.

    Shower of !!!!ing idiots.
    Hi molerat

Glad we've started your account to the reading you gave us. As the gaining supplier, we'll have sent this reading to the losing supplier so they could close their account to the same reading. This will have first gone through a third party who would've checked it was in line with previous readings. As we've used it, the reading would've been approved.

As the amount you've mentioned is relatively small, I doubt it'll be possible to use the industry wide Agreed Reads Dispute to sort this out.

The bill is now showing in my account as cancelled and I am back to where I was so maybe they are eventually getting there.

Spoke too soon. New bill produced today using the correct lower meter read ... but I now owe them more money. They have somehow managed to reduce the balance b/f from the previous bill. "My Account" is showing the correct final balance as 42p credit but the bill is showing £11.58 Debit. They have obviously taken off the £12 gov payment that I never had from them.
  • +1 to the crowd saying never to use this company. I can't ever remember a company being in such disarray as this lot.

I've been trying to get a refund for credit for 4 months. It's impossible.

    Avoid at all costs.

Heard of them??????????????? Yes I have and used them. They were a nightmare. On 'paper' they looked as though they were providing a good deal. However, I ended up in a lot of credit (yes credit) - well over £300 - with them and wanted it back. It took forever..........endless calls, emails, etc. they simply can't add up and their customer service was the worst - absolutely dreadful. Please don't go near them!!!!

Did you know many of the employees came across from NPower, there will be plenty more Npower employees lining up for jobs with EE in the coming weeks, paints a very similar picture doesnt it.

Im now more inclined to hold onto the £150 that I owe EE, I went with my instinct and decided not to allow the theft of my hard earned money by this company.
EE simply lie and make things up as they go along.

Why is EE still operating, why has no regulator action been taken. Why do we have a regulator if they do not actually do anything with corrupt not fit for purpose companies such as EE.

EE, you are disgrace to the UK.

Rejoin EE, put in low energy usage so you make the DD as low as possible.
Once you are happy that you owe them loads of monies, leave and then start using their own excuses back on them. Complain at every chance, send daily emails, complain just for the sake of complaining.

I had x4 complaints outstanding, they simply ignore you and pretend that they never had the complaint or they simply mark it as resolved and file it away.

Good luck getting your money back, you will need it.

Problem with this idea is if you owe them, they`ll block your move.

Go to moneyclaimonline and issue a summons to get what they owe you.
    They won`t ignore that!
  • The ombudsman decided in my favour and awarded me £100 which "is to be paid into my account". What astounds me is that this means £100 will be credited to my Extra Energy account, not my bank account so again, I won't see this money until the end of my tariff where it'll take another 4 months and a load of lies to claw back the huge amount of credit I've built up.
Goodwill gestures should be paid in cash as stated on the Ombudsman website. This company should be shut down (after my credit is paid back to me). I have serious concerns about the liquidity of this company which I guess is why it can't pay awards in cash.
