Then we will be having fun in September as a representative of EE has gone on written record to say our fix ends on the 20th September!“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

Its not actually what an employee over at EE says, its what is in your contract when you took the service on.
As proven, EE tell you anything in order to shut you up and fob you off. In reality EE dont even reply to complaints, dont process and dont produce bills and dont give money back till your blood has over boiled.
Why are you even waiting till September, I moved my gas and was going to wait to move my electric. However forum users ushered me along and I am so glad I have left.

Am demanding to leave with no fees- they don't answer any emails- nothing!!!
Be warned people do not join EE- it will be painful!!
Whats the issue then, no bill = no payments = free gas/electric. Once EE come looking try the backbilling on with them. If that dont work, tell them because of their ways you are not struggling to pay so will have to set a payment plan up of £5 a month. :rotfl:
Just make a complaint via email which will be ignored, then email saying waive the fees as you have failed to reply to your complaint. Cancel DD and leave rest to EE, up to them if they ever decide on fixing their ways which isnt any time soon im afraid to announce.0 -
STEER WELL CLEAR OF THIS SHOWER OR USE THEM AT YOUR PERIL. Sorry its in Capitals but I want to shout this from the rooftops. I have now made a formal complaint to the energy ombudsman about these people. They have so far raised three bills for me (after I left them) and Cancelled all of these. They owe me money and TBH I think its going to be a fight to get it I have now Emailed the chairman letsee if he has the decency to respond!!! Give him an email and let him know how dissatisfied you all are!! its Moti@ExtraEnergy.com Good luck and Don t hold your breath!!:money:
Ahh you see, you need to leave EE in debit. You can then drag your feet and provide b*llsh*t excuses till your heart is content.
Why would the chairman give a sh*t if the overall company doesnt. They are making £££'s while us menials are left to fight for a bill / monies owed.
Ive emailed all the top dogs/sheeps baahhhhhh. No such reply from any of them, nothing has been fixed, no bills.
I have left and simply told EE to go swivel as I wont be paying anything.0 -
Like you I changed over to extra energy last September, What a mistake, since I joined i have had no statement, I have sent them 12 E mails not one answer, bEvery time I phone I wait forever and when I do speak to some one they promise it will be on my account shortly. but never is. In desperation I stopped my direct debit, that woke them up but only to threaten me with higher charges, plus a charge of £12 every time they contact me. can't wait to leave as soon as I can without paying a penalty0

I have paid them £1,440 so far, What is the answer, darent cancel dd as I must be in credit by now. was paying the same to EON and EE is supposed to be cheaper!! ??0

My personal opinion and I don't claim to be an expert: Work out what your bill should be and if you are in credit cancel the DD. Send them an email telling them what you have done, why you've done it (you are paying too much and you are £xxx in credit) and ask them for a realistic DD amount. Use email then you have a record of it all.
BTW cancelling you DD does not prevent them paying into your account. My refund was paid into my account after I'd cancelled. Good job I did. They tried to take £366 from me 4 months after I left and whilst they still owed me.0 -
Customer services is shocking
billing I is worse

The reason I haven't jumped ship already is because I know exactly where I am with my account, which is very marginally in credit. I shall cancel the DD before the final payment and then have loads of fun in the small claims court. My job is all about Adjudications and Claims in the construction industry so writing a claim for Court is absolutely a cake walk! I love writing letters and sending them "Signed For" and alleging breach (when it is a fact) and seeing the adversary climb down (but not admit breach). To me that's not a chore, it's fun.
And, for the avoidance of doubt, I don't really like eating in restaurants, lol!“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

I'm dreading dealing with this given all these stories. I'm 6 months in, and already paid double what I've used since Christmas through a direct debit that I can't get them to lower. I'm really tempted to cancel the direct debit, but need to find out what the consequences will be (I may be taking out a loan for home improvements soon, black marks on the credit file won't be good).
I wouldn't care about the situation if I were in credit, but finding a way to get them to reduce the DD by over half is not fun.0
