I know it's been mentioned before but worth a reminder I think - from the Ofgen website:
- Suppliers will be required to notify customers that their current fixed-term is coming to an end between 42 and 49 days before the contract ends.
- Between this notification period and the end of the fixed term contract, suppliers will be banned from charging a termination fee should the customer decide to switch
Yes, I'm already in the frame of mind to do my research, I have the date ringed in my diary, but thank you.“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

has anyone had any response at all if they've tried the ben.jones email?
Ours is a business a/c but I hope the CEO is becoming fully aware of the true state of the business on the domestic front too.0 -
I've had my FIRST bill today!!
Been with them since last November. Haven't contacted them at all as happy with monthly DD amount.
Was asked to supply meter readings in March which I did online and heard nothing since.
Today I got an email asking me to log in and have a look at my bill.
Bill is dated 7th March (which is when I supplied readings obviously) and shows me to have a small credit balance and so my monthly DD has been reduced by £30.
I totally understand the horrendous troubles people like Mable have suffered through, but I don't have a problem. I'm guessing I'm the minority, but I'm sticking with them for now...0 -
I've had my FIRST bill today!!
.
I got an email today saying my 1st bill was available but it was actually my 2nd and both cover a 6 month period up to may this year. I was £72 in credit at the time but doing the maths I reckon I am £190 in credit as of today although a lot of that is due to the date of dd going out. They still don't seem to have a clue how to set a sensible dd amount though. Maybe stay with them and think about it in sept when the fixed rate ends. (cue howls of laughter)0 -
It seems that EE are gradually getting their act together, for some people at least. However, I switched back to EDF in April and 2 days ago they sent a meter reader along and today I have my (correct) bill from April - July, without even asking for it. They will lower the DD from next month, as they say "I don't have to do anything" such a different story from EE which was an up hill struggle to get them to do anything.
Good luck to everyone still fighting for bills and money to be returned.Holding back the years...0 -
We didn't have any response after emailing Ben Jones but we did after emailing the even more senior business owner now on Ceoemail. ...snip

thanks for the infobusiness a/c's do you usually get treated different to consumer, likely this played a part too.
ok, so i've had a response to my latest email, sort of!
as with others, i've had an email today to say that my 1st bill is ready, pls log-in to view.
well, i've already had a bill (about 8 months after joining), but i've just logged in, & there is no new/final bill for charges to my leaving date April. all that's happened is that they've cancelled my 1st billed charges & the account is now showing over £900 credit.
I have no idea what's going on, bet they haven't either!
i've just emailed them again, CS, Ben & this time, CEO/MD, see if that makes a difference...0 -

Pleased you are happy now but I certainly would not have allowed them to get away with the termination fees.0 -

just checked my account again & it seems that a final bill appeared on my account later on in the day, i'm sure they did it on purpose just to make me sound stupid!
£64.00 final charges due, inc £50 exit fees, which is pretty much the estimate i'd arrived at when leaving. i've just paid £14 online & will email to request confirmation that exit fees will be cancelled. wish me luck!0 -
My experience so far.. awful so avoid! Had a threatening letter telling me I havent paid my DD for months and asking me for money, never used them, never heard of them, going through the same stress I did with bl00dy First:Utility. My opinion, is avoid them til they can sort out their billing, and erroneous transferring of accounts0
