Well. My meter was read a few months ago. I had an email a few months after my requests for a bill saying id get one within 7 days. Then heard nothing more. Reckon i was in credit by Feb as my DD was high but nothing but empty promises that it will be reviewed when bill is published. Now I'm worried that ill never get sorted. Even if i leave i am left having to chase owed money. Have stayed with them purely to save myself the grief of leaving add i don't relish the hassle it will lead to.0

My mum eventually received her bill 13 months after joining but at least it was correct and at that stage they reduced her bill by £50 a month and her fixed term finishes on the 30 September so fingers she will end up in debit.
As regards leaving in credit I had an uphill struggle getting my money back but after about 4 months I eventually got it and early cancellation fees waived. Hopefully now they have improved since i was with them.0 -

So if, having given notice at the earliest possible stage, I then cancel the DD for my last 1 or 2 payments, will that complicate or delay the subsequent transfer eg by giving them an excuse to say I've broken the contract etc...? Has anyone already used this tactic?
i cancelled my DD as soon as i'd started the switch process, which from memory, this was completed within 6-8 weeks. i received their standard email regarding cancellation which advised terms & conditions & DD needed on this tariff etc., but it made no difference whatsoever to the switch or final charges levied (ie. didn't switch to their standard tariff).
it takes them so long to 'act' on anything i really wouldn't worry about it, especially as you'll be within the last few weeks of your tariff & are switching anyway.0 -

Extra Energy, the worst you can get, no invoice as yet and been with them 12 months, phone calls emails, no response. No renewal notice, do not ever use them.
By the way, not even paid them a penny.0 -

Sorry I know they are not the greatest company but are you seriously saying you have been with them for 12 months and you have never paid them any money.
I find that very hard believe they have not requested payment in all that time.0 -

I hope you are aware that once they do bill you then they are only entitled to bill you for the last 12 months usage. So from now on the longer they are the more they will have to write off.
"If your supplier is at fault, it will not seek additional payment for unbilled energy used more than 12 months prior to the error being detected and a corrected bill being issued."

Extra Energy are appalling. I have sent so many emails which have been ignored. I contacted them by phone regarding high DD and no bill this was also ignored. Today the "customer service" man told me I could not have a bill for 4 weeks. He could not reduce my DD. So I told him this is ridiculous other companies can give this information immediately. He said " thats other companies!" Shocking. So I told him as I am nearly £400 in credit and he cannot tell me in whose favour that is I am switching, cancelling my DD immediately. He didn't seem surprised at all. I have never known such a diabolical set up. I will demand no exit fee is payable.0

All done now with EE, im in debit by plenty ;-)
Not heard anything from them and couldnt care less if I never do, I am certainly not in any rush to pay them any monies owed.
The company is clearly not fit for any purpose and anyone with EE need to ensure you are in debit prior to departing.
Did I make the 100th page ;-)0
