E.ON it is and for me are a lot cheaper than N Power and EE.

I have a qtly dd set up so only pay for the energy I use. However I make interim payments via my cash back credit card and usually find when the qtly bill is produced I am slightly in credit. E.on always refund any credit back to my bank account.

Very pleased with them. However not sure if I would be so pleased if I had a monthly dd set up. For me just too much hassle.

I'm on E.On monthly DD and it's no hassle. Quite the opposite. They've got it spot on - 6 months in credit and 6 months in debit and by roughly equal amounts. And "Your standing charge will be £70 lower than other payment methods if you pay by Fixed Monthly Direct Debit" which is a lot.

EnergyHelpLine have just emailed me about a "Great British Collective" and it's E.On that's cheapest but not much less than I'm paying now.

They only get 2/5 for service so they must have had problems in the past but I'm 100% happy. Online bills a few hours after entering readings. Their website is comprehensive and easy to use. Best company I've been with.

Well my Extra Energy nightmare is finally over, joined them in April last year, left in April this year, got my first and final bill in June this year - they have taken the extra £100 I owed them. After all the complaints I made they said they wouldn't charge me any exit fees, but of course they did. Made another complaint and they have refunded them, about the only thing they have ever done which they said they would! Switched to EDF and very happy with them, also happy to see the back of EE! Good to luck to all of you trying to get your cash back

I still have Woes since my initial problem dating back to 23rd December.

I have kind of given up with them, but on the basis I think I probably owe them money I am letting it run its course. £1120 in credit but I am pretty sure my bill (I use the word bill loosely since they can't seem to produce one) will be £1250 ish.

allan.machesney@extraenergy.com - If you have issues with payments not being collected, being collected when they shouldn't, or anything "payments" related. Guessed his email address following a pretty nasty email they sent me after I cancelled my direct debit (because I left them). Did enough so far as to freeze the account and make comment to the complaint handler to call me... Not that the complaint handler does anything she says she will.

Mum will be excited today as her only bill in 13 months has just been produced and they have even lowered her dd by £50 a month. Based on that she will probably be carrying forward a debit balance.

This is good news as her fixed rate comes to an end on the 30 September 2015.

    My daughter has today got a bill ......... for 2Jul 14 to 15 Dec 14 !!
It states it is to replace a bill dated 7 May 15 which she never received and was never debited from her account. She did receive a cancelled bill credit to her account on 7 May (for the bill they did not debit !!) They have also increased her DD again. I will need to bung all the numbers into my spreadsheet to see if it works out but it seems their system is getting worse instead of better. What a shower of incompetent idiots.
The cancelled bill has now been removed and her account is showing the correct credit amount with her last bill being up to 15 Dec.

Mable, are you sure your Mum's fixed rate ends on 30th September? I have an email from EE telling me mine ends on 20th September. I am assuming (hoping) that is not a typo.

I think you will find that all contracts end at the end of the month, although mine started early September the end date was 30th, possibly so that they can take into account the DD for the last month.
    Holding back the years...
  • I've now been with them a whole year- no direct debits taken, one bill in September last year (received in March!!!!!!!), am now on the phone with them- they're telling me there's a backlog of bills- backlog my !!!!- they're just useless!!!!
Am demanding to leave with no fees- they don't answer any emails- nothing!!!
Be warned people do not join EE- it will be painful!!

Just had a look on her bill and definitely stated 30 September 2015.
