    I'm in shock

3 days after entering a set of meter readings, and they've produced an accurate bill as far as I can tell. (Approx 3 months of energy usage)

Direct debit increased slightly by a sensible amount, and nothing I can see wrong.

    Famous last words.......

Well I've cancelled my DD as my new supplier starts today and they still have nearly £500 of my money as the property has been empty. Regular readings given, but all the site shows is my credit. Don't know how they can get away with holding onto so many peoples money.

  • Crikey, my first six monthly bill arrived on the button :)

The second bit of good news is my DD has been lowered to £73pm which is what it should be :D

All previous suppliers have no concept of all electric houses with solar panels and heat pumps so have always overpaid building up massive credit.

    Long may this continue

    Woohoo

The billing queue is getting shorter!!

    Joined EE 01/05/14
    Received 1st bill 13/01/15 for 01/05/2014-13/10/14 (3 months late)
    Received 2nd bill 25/06/15 for 14/10/14-13/04/15 (only 2 months 12 days late)

Estimated readings are accuratish based on the actual reads I've sent them but still have no clue how they calculate DD amount. DD raised massively on 1st bill then reduced back to slightly less than my original amount in 2nd bill. At this rate it will take 42 months to work through the credit I've built up in the last 6 months!!
  • Please for the love of god do not join this company. I've had nothing but problems since my contract started. Hopeless website, DD's not taken, customer services worst ever, management team hide, Ombudsman hopeless at dealing with them.Latest and final nail in coffin is that finally got a bill on 1st April which I thought was bit OTT but cleared what was due and agreed new DD payment that we were both happy with. EE then change goalposts by credit back all my April bill and resubmit new bill yesterday and suddenly I'm in debit again with energy usage at it's lowest of the year. Can't get this company as the Cust.Services staff don't have a clue ( due to always being new, wonder why!!) and can't give me information I need. I know the big 6 cause problems but they will never be as bad as EE. Thanks for the worst year in company involvement of my life.

Congratulations hey, you seem to be a 1st to receive such a service, or at least on this forum.

Are you on the EE employee tariff?

The bill DD seems high considering you have solar and heat pumps but im pressuming were talking about a moderate sized house.

Is there a swimming pool ?

Large, detached 100+ year old house in the Scottish countryside so quite reasonable :) Swimming pool, I wish, sauna too would be nice ;)

But yes I am rather shocked by EE's good service of late. I was expecting terrible times ahead...
