    Debt-free and Proud!

    If it's gone it's done;
Twinkly Tuesday - Living room x 2, hall, stairs and porch!:j I just want to point out that I'm not a super swot or teacher's pet, I have a few months where my commitments are at a much lower level than usual and I am deep cleaning and keeping on top of things so that when it goes crazy again (and it will) we don't have to live in a pig sty, don't want to put any new folks off or anything :o
I opted for the lasagne for tea and followed Valli's advice and made 2 (1 for the freezer), made 4 lots of pastry, a boozy fruit bready pudding and a double batch of yoghurt.
Kazwookie - I don't have economy 7 and my supplier (e.on) says that we use 59% more fuel than similar homes in our area. I employ all the money saving tactics possible but my condition means that sitting in a cold house all day (I work from home) is NOT an option, can only think that this is where the extra usage is?
Proud to have dealt with our debt. DFW Nerd 1474
    DFD 25/08/15 _party_. Was: £23,929 01/01/14.

Kaz i was told that unless you have storage heaters or are pretty much nocturnal then E7 was not worth it. Is the clockon your meter correct? Remember the time slot changes when the clocks change. Also stories of WM catching fire put me off of using over night.

Hi all. Living room done, parents came to visit and stayed for tea at the last minute so we had to make the roast chicken stretch. All was fine and it was nice to spend time with them.

DS1 in for his dreaded MRI scan tomorrow. At the moment he is refusing to go and I am not sure what we are going to do if he really digs his heels in. He has just said to me that no-one can make him better so whats the point? I dont really want to know the results. In fact I am feeling a bit sorry for myself at the moment.

    Deep breaths.

Also stories of WM catching fire put me off of using over night.

This happened to my friend. She lived in a large house. Put on the washing machine and went to bed. She only came back downstairs as she had forgotten her handbag. She discovered the washing machine was on fire. Managed to raise the alarm and get the family out.

    Daft question time:-

I always thought my cheap electricity rates was 7pm to 7am, however that is wrong and it is midnight to 7am. I am with e.on, they also tell me that I use 68% of my electricity between midnight and 7am, which I find odd as we are in bed, things are turned off, at the wall plugs, except the fridge / freezer and bedside alarm clock. I am sure I am being fobbed off...........

So when is your cheap rate and which compnay are you with?

In winter (GMT) 00:30-7:30; 1:30-8:30 on BST

    I'm with EDF

I use about 1/3 on night rate and 2/3 on day atm

I charge the toothbrush overnight and run the WM, TD (as much as possible) and DW at night. I do run the WM in the day too.

    I have 3 smoke alarms:cool:

Check the email - (available for preview on site feedback) there a bodyshop 'set' value £87 on sale at £60 but a 50% off code makes it £30. Free delivery and I have ordered mine through quidco:money:

  • Yorkshire Lass will be thinking of you and DS1 today.

Plan is to get into garden early then do all other jobs I have left from previous days. Supposed to be going out for tea but not certain yet.

May catch up later but could just be too cross - depending on any further Budget announcements today!
    Take care everyone xx
