    Daft question time:-

I always thought my cheap electricity rates was 7pm to 7am, however that is wrong and it is midnight to 7am. I am with e.on, they also tell me that I use 68% of my electricity between midnight and 7am, which I find odd as we are in bed, things are turned off, at the wall plugs, except the fridge / freezer and bedside alarm clock. I am sure I am being fobbed off...........

So when is your cheap rate and which compnay are you with?

    Hi kazwookie,

Thought I'd try and help a bit with this, if you don't mind :o

The off peak times for economy 7 vary depending on area and type of meter, but it will only be for 7 hours.

Economy 7 is normally (not always) only beneficial if you have electric storage heaters, as these store up the heat overnight.

Most customers with gas central heating then just the normal electrical things are better off on a one rate tariff, so a daily standing charge then a unit rate for all usage.

You can check if you'd be better off on a one rate if you've got an online account. Or I can help you :D

Let me know if you'd like any help.

    Helena :)

I hope today goes well for your DS and you today, Yorkshire Lass.

It's a bit cloudy here, so I thought the WM would get a day off, but the Met Office site (which has now moved to hourly forecasts for the first 48 hours on the 5 day forecasts which is incredibly useful) says it's going to be sunny later. So, a couple of chalet blankets will get the twirling treatment.
    Better is good enough.

Finishing Pixie dungarees today.. with some yarn I have had for around 15 years!!!!!

Stairs steam cleaned and the loo room on Monday.. and the toilet seat changed. Filled the wheelie bins for emptying on Tuesday. Rabbit cleaned out.. as well as the usual round of washing/drying/folding/flinging/dishwasher loading.
Tuesday I spent knitting and trying to catch up on washing so of course it is raining.
Today .. I am finishing the dungarees and getting the clothes packed for heading off to OH's mums on Friday - Sunday. I need to do a Tesco shop too.

YL Posi-vibes for your DS. I understand where he's coming from; but there's always the chance that they just might pick up on something they didn't before, and so will be able to at least make him feel a bit better, if not provide a cure. It's worth going for the scan anyway; it can't do any harm. I dislike the MRI tunnel immensely, but would still go for a scan if it was offered; I hope he can find it in him to go. (((HUGS))) to you both.

It's very quiet here today, I hope you are all ok!

Paid stuff for 4 hours this morning with a terrible migraine. Thankfully it has gone since I had a sleep between getting home and collecting DS2. I'm just about to tackle the ironing.

Thankyou to those who replied about the teachers strike, I haven't heard any more from DS2's school on the matter but have forewarned my client that I may need to reschedule for Tuesday instead, which she was fine with.

Everywhere could do with a good blitz but I just want to have some family loves tonight, the flying can wait.

Sending hugs and all the usual gubbins to you all :) xx

busy all morning, had givs meetings paid some money i owed them, then nipped shops for an extra pressie for DD1 birthday, made a start on a dress i'd cut out. I can raise you for the age of my stash pigpen, the fabric i used was from a piece i bought forever ago and i also made a maternity dress for myself from it when expecting DD1 (shes 27) scarey thing is i probably still have enough left for another dress! machining part of dress is done ive just got the hem and cuffs to hand sew.
Got some washing to hang out and then going to tidy the lounge again and prep some leek and potato soup for tea.

    Dear eon rep.

Thank you for your comments, I don't have storage heaters, I've looked on line and find your web site confusing.

I rang and spoke to someone at eon this week, who is sending me something in the post.

I will email you my details again and see what you come up with

    Thank you
