DS1 is driving me to distraction. I can't stop crying. DH is bemused by it all and is making me feel worse. He doesn't see how son behaves when he is working away. I just can't cope any more, it's so hard.
Sorry ladies to dump on you xx0 -

Neveah, so sorry about your diagnosis.
Natty, sorry about Amy cat.
Decko, belated happy birthday.
Bossy, sorry you've had trauma with DS.
YL, hugs to DS. Hope next time is better. Would he perhaps tolerate having a Naso gastric tube (from his nose to his tummy) to get the contrast into him next time? It may mean an X-ray to check it's in position before filling him up, depends on your hospitals policy but it could be less traumatic for him perhaps? (Not a nice procedure in itself though so would be a last resort).
I'm sorry for anything or anyone I've missed but I've read 2.5 weeks worth of posts since Thursday evening and it's become a blur.
Ooh, Helenjelly, glad your DH is getting better.
Spent the day shopping today. Spent a fortune at Street but boy did we all need it. Got masses for our money and hopefully my new work shoes will mean I don't feel the need to cut my feet off at the end of a shift.
Lots needs to be done here so I will focus on what has been done and then can see what to do tomorrow.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
(((Hugs))) Mumto5. Dump as much as you want to on us. I hope you got some sleep in the end - it sounds as if you are exhausted by your DS1's behaviour and exasperated by your DH. Lots of love to you and your DS3 and DD2 xxx
Up early this morning (as usual - I almost never lie-in!). It has rained in the night, but the sun is shining and I shall go out and do some more weeding this morning. First job after breakfast and church will have to be collecting up the ivy that DH threw over the back fence yesterday afternoon when he dug up a big old root, instead of putting it in the trug ready for a trip to the tip. (It is now in a big heap up against the fence, so just imagine what it will grow over and round if it starts rooting and shooting again, as ivy does!). He can go there when he takes me into town this afternoon for an appointment with the optometrist - I have to have drops to dilate my eyes, so can't drive myself.
Tradesmen in this area are finding it hard to get work at the moment, so our excellent carpenter has morphed himself into an odd-job-man and is going to finish off all the little jobs in our house (apart from painting which DH says he will do... I hope he does!) and will finish the raised bed in the front garden for me at considerably lower cost than if I had accepted the Garden Gang's silly quote for doing so. I have also got him work with my friend, first putting shelves in her under-stairs pantry - but she too has a long list of little jobs that need doing, which she cannot manage herself. I am now hoping that all our work (except the flowerbeds, which will be ongoing for years :rotfl:) will be completed within a fortnight so that everything is nice before my DGS1+2 come to stay in the first week of their Easter holidays
Breakfast! Will catch up with the new thread this evening :wave:0 -
Mumto5, I am sure you have told us but how old is DS1? I am also sure you have tried talking to him, but may be try again with his dad there, and 'tell' your OH you need help and support over this, grrrr not his amusment, a HUG for you x
Same same here, daily stuff done
wrk is late shift today
Wrapped 80th bd present stuff up, will deliver it tomorrow, plus take flowers for my mother's grave for mothering Sunday to save another 136 miles drive each way, I am telling my self it is the thought that counts, step mother is telling me it is disrespectful not to visit the grave on the correct day.......I can feel words coming on! I also don't have another free day for ages, as it is I have taken Monday off from job 2 as I work 7 days a week, but my OH says he is going to drive, so I will do paperwork while being driven!

Been a busy few days here but none of it flying. I've spent more time on the road than in the house.
Did manage a bit of a tidy last night and got some wm loads done. Then got up this morning to Bo who had pooed everywhere and been sick. He's fine just don't think the dog food agrees with him. So that mess has been cleaned up with me then being sick, it's the smell of it all. YUK
Plan today is sunday school, church then out for a lovely meal and back in time for another church service. Hopefully when I get home this evening I can drag everyone in to help tidy for an hour. Always seems to make a big difference.
Mumto5 big hugs, hope all sortes out quickly and that behaviour changes.
Helen Jelly glad things are starting to head the right way.“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -
Morning all.
LW - glad you're having fun with Spencer
FizzWhizz - your glasses story made me laugh
Mumto5 - just hugs lovely
Kaz - I agree its the thought that counts and it doesn't matter which actual day you take the flowers
Well, we had a lovely day yesterday, just brilliant with close family and friends spoiling us with great company. And today, back to routine. DH is at work and I've already sorted the fridge and freezers (HoneyBear style) and done a menu plan for the week.
I need to get the house straight having had a guest stay over, catch up with washing (its a lovely day so it can go on the line outside), hoover right through, do all the ironing or DH will be going topless to work tomorrow.
Add to that dog walking and possibly some gardening, and I am beginning to doubt that I'll be able to catch up with yesterday's paper.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
You're not dumping, Mumto5, you're blowing off steam amongst friends who want to be of support when things get on top of you. Huge, huge (((hugs))).
Why on earth would it make any differnce which day you put flowers on your mother's grave Kazwookie? Sounds to me as though your step-reli has an issue with something trying to impose a 272 mile drive on you. Unkind of her, imho.
It's cold, windy and sunny here, with the forecast for rain at midday. I am so desperate to get some duvets and pillows washed I'm going to take the risk but I don't want to set the WM going until the two lodgers are up and about - they will have been working until 4.00 or 5.00 am (we didn't hear them come in) and then have to drive to London later so I don't want to disturb them yet.Better is good enough.0 -

Ditto both of these comments.
Got towels and sheets blowing on the line and a maidenful if ironing airing off in front of a sunny window.
I bought a pack of the half price steak mince from Morries, so that was cooked up with carrots and onions and allowed to cool; the fat (and there wasn't a huge amount) has been skimmed. I shall make cottage pies with this, one for today and some for the freezer. Thank you Honey Bear0 -
We have a hail shower here at the moment, enough for me to say no to gardening for today! Just got back in time though from the dog walk. About to have lunch now and then I'll crack on with the hoovering and ironing.Spend less now, work less later.0
