Weekly Flylady Thread 17th March 2014

Flying suspended til Sunday afternoon. Got a call at 19:15 last night, could I please have Spencer for 2 nights - he arrived 08:30 this morning. It's his first time out, and this is a trial run to see how he manages. Thus far, all ok; I shall see how he is with "walkies" in a bit. He's already had a good dash around the garden, and is currently spark out on the mat by the patio door. He's a 6 month old Miniature Schnauzer - wish me luck!:D

Bags packed other than knickers and socks for the 2 girls and tights for Pixie.. OH said I have to take her some clothes.. she never wears clothes, only sleepsuits.. she is really unsettled and fidgety in clothes.. I don't see why it matters if she just wears sleepsuits, she is 7 months old not 6 years!!

I need to sort a box of food.. that will take a while.. but it will all be needed I'm certain. They are already wittering about what the girls and I will/will not eat.. YAWN!!

Washing was up to date until I piled it all on the landing... now I have mountains!

Aww HB really it's ok. We've got a playhouse being delivered next week, stepdad is building it - we are just working to what weekend he's free. I'm not decorating, I promise! It's shed paint for next weekend. X

Have vacced upstairs. DS even tidied his room :eek:

Think we will play and tidy DD room today too. Also must order euros. Holiday soon!

Morning all.

Sorry, not caught up with the thread Hugs & vibes to all.

I have a day off from paid stuff, bridesmaid dress was washed yesterday, I'm so not in the mood to do any more admin (2 days worth of 12+ hours on the comp this week alone!) and I'm cheating with the groceries and getting a delivery tomorrow:p. When I go to the store I keep forgetting things so have to go back and end up spending more money than planned, hopefully I can get it all delivered tomorrow while DD is out with ex. I need to fill my freezer as well as we're down to a bag of salmon fillets, some sausage, and a bag of mince meat wise (the chicken in there is for tonights tea) when usually I have 2 drawers filled with all sorts of stuff.

So far today I have opened all the windows upstairs as wide as they'll go, done 2 wash loads, hung one outside (underwear is in the TD to be done later, can't be doing with pegging loads of it out when I have bigger items I want out on the line!) other is just spinning, cleaned DD's windows inside (Might have to see about getting a window cleaner again soon, but will have to wait until landlady gets the back gate fixed or he won't be able to get around the back!), dusted her bedroom properly, dusted my bedroom properly, cleaned my windows inside when the sun went behind a cloud for a bit , washed the walls down in my room where they were grotty with sticky dust, and I'm half way down the stairs washing the walls down due to the white walls being grey instead. Had to stop for another drink though, I have a really sore throat today. Don't know if its the muck I'm stirring up or I'm coming down with something.

Still to do: Clean bathroom, wash/demould bathroom walls, vacuum upstairs with the beater attachment while DD isn't here, mop bathroom floor, laundry (at least 5 more to go before DD gets in and dumps her uniform in it), vacuum downstairs, dust livingroom again, clean mirrors/windows, clean kitchen, mop through downstairs, wash up, ironing, clean the brass on the front door, and hopefully I can have tomorrow off then! :eek:

I best shift myself or it won't all be done before DD gets home; well the ironing can wait until later, but I want everything else done :wave:

It sounds as though a holiday is just what you all need bossy. I hope the chart and the positive reinforcement leads to a calmer household for you xx

Mouth is much better today, I did have to get up and take ibuprofen at 2am but I think my night time teeth clenching and grinding is the real source of the problem.

I'm feeling very odd today, not physically (for a change ) but emotionally, I have been welling up constantly even though I'm not unhappy, or stressed, or dwelling on stuff. Very bizarre.

Anyhow, paid stuff is all done for the week and I have 3 hours before the kiddy onslaught begins. Off the peruse the list and see where I can start…

Morning all!!!! My meeting lasted from 9:20 to 14:40 so just had lunch!!!! think we finished because my tum was making growling sounds!!

DH will be home soon so probably won't get much done now - will just do bathroom floor I think and leave the rest until tomorrow.

Afternoon all, not much flying done here today been busy doing some of the charity stuff.


Boys all home from school and dinner on, just waiting on DD to get in. DS1 has football tonight so he needs to get ready then when I get home i'll try and get some flying done. Really need to get a list done for the charity too.

Yay I've done some flying!

Decided to mainly get downstairs tidy, hoovered, moped and dusted. Not a deep clean but looks much better. Next week I really need to catch up on paperwork which is breading again.

have had sewing machine out to mend a hole in DS2s onesie so finished the 3 WIP cushion covers id got the front panels done on.

having veggie haggis for tea tonight so all ive really got to do is some mash.

just had a lovely long phone call with DD2 to wish her a happy birthday.
(along with a talk thru guide over the phone on how to use the sewing machine GM (mil) has given her.)

DD1 texted me this morning shes just had cctv camera fitted outside their new house as since they moved in someone has been sprinkling cat treats in piles on their front garden wall. she was convinced it was someone over the road who had trouble with a local cat sitting on their car. anyway culprit is now known as she caught them on camera, turns out the local postlady has a soft spot for kitties and carries a pocket full of treats round and stops to feed them using DDs wall as snack table. dont think theres really anything malicious in it after all.

GRR ive just lost a filling it felt a bit funny this morning and i thought i had an extra crunchy crisp mid morning but now the whole filling has dropped completely out and its off the top of a root canal so ive just got a rough jagged bit of back tooth now. hopefully because the root been 'done' it shouldnt cause any probs till dentist opens again on monday when i can ring up for an appt. Dentist couldnt crown it as its not got enough tooth showing over the gum so not really sure what my options are. he preped it for a crown before deciding this so quite a lot was filled off before the filling was done last year.
