Glad things are looking up Helenjelly, welcome back.

So excited this morning. About to finish my cuppa, walk the dogs, wash up and then get changed into my posh stuff and put my face on.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Enjoy yourself, Jazee!
Hope Little Moos have another good day.

DH is falling off the slimming wagon. I am doing all I can to help him, but he ate 2 Li0n bars at wargames club last night, even though I'd sent him with rice pudding and fruit (which he also ate). I despair.

Off to visit a garden while the sun is shining!

I'm going to sit and read "To kill a mockingbird" which DD is reading in English. Maybe then I might understand what she's going on about

Oh Nicki you lucky, lucky thing! I finally read it a couple of years ago, pretty much in one go, because I suddenly realised that although I'd seen the film several times I needed to read the book itself to really understand why it is such a classic. Sometimes when I'm totally transported by a book or a film I find myself regretting that this feeling will never happen again over it - there is only one first time. Please tell us what you think when you've finished it.

Helen Jelly it's lovely to see you back and I have to say I am incredibly relieved that they found out what was causing your OH's terrible pain. I hope he heals really quickly and that you get back on to an even keel very soon. Big (((hugs))) for you both.

    Have a lovely day, Jazee.

I fear I have fallen off the Flying Wagon a bit over the past month. I seem to be terribly busy at the moment, rushing from one huge project to another, clearing stuff that has been on the backburners for years in some cases, but not actually doing more than the absolute minimum flying. Then I have to set to and go at it hammer and tongs like when the last two people left after seven weeks and two people were due to arrive within a few hours. The turnaround was seriously hard work after visiting the chalet and doing several other things that couldn't be done in advance that day. Things are gradually coming together, but if the house hadn't had 18 months flying already on it, it would be in a very sorry state by now.
    Better is good enough.

Oh I know that feeling... especially with books :D

Welcome back Helen Jelly - hope the crafting is going well.

The sun is shining in through the front door. This means I can see the dust on the PC (it lives 'in the hall' it's like a pseudo study;)) so I suppose I shall probably strip and clean it all out. I have stripped my bed, washing on the line blowing happily and have showered; tiles are scrubbed with bleach.

    the plan

Pack up tea towels to post to son
    clean bathroom
    Clean kitchen
    clean study

    that'll do for now...

    Morning all

Helen so pleased to hear that things are slowly improving for you and DH and once a flylady always a flylady, you'll turn it back around when the time is right.

White shirts on the line, windy but odd hail storm here.

    WM2 on.

I need to go and do a quick shop and then either an afternoon of flying or paperwork.

I've read one page so far and now life is in the way. I need to have it read before DD goes back to school on Monday as its the copy she brought home to do her homework :rotfl: I'm hoping once the shopping has arrived and I've put it away (then had a quick bath as I feel icky from cleaning yesterday) to just sit and read for the rest of the weekend. ;)

This morning I've cleaned the brass on the front door, done some more washing and printed out the info I need for when DD goes away in just under 3 weeks to Ireland for a long weekend/party with ex and his family.

And that weird beeping noise sounds like my shopping has just arrived :D Laters

Helen Jelly how lovely to see you posting again; and so glad things are now starting to look better for you and your DH.:o

Well, Spencer has settled in very well; it's only a two-night trial stay, to see how he copes with being away from his own humans - he doesn't seem bothered at all.:D He's hard work - but only in the way that all 6-month-old puppies are hard work; into everything, and thinks anything that dangles or has a fringe on it is for chewing. I'm wearing my ancient and tatty gardening skirt all weekend, so that if he damages it, it doesn't really matter, as he seems to think the hem of it is for him to play with.:D I'm using his long training lead for taking him outside in the garden, as I'm not steady enough on my feet for a game of "Let's Give Auntie the Runaround" when it's time for him to come indoors.:o

Flying-wise I've managed two WM loads this morning, including the bedlinen, and that's about it!

Don't worry, I'm very careful; and Mr LW is here to help out.:A Luckily Spencer walks pretty well for a pup with the mobility buggy - not scared of it, which is the main thing. I've only ever had one dog who was scared of it - Jasper, and he was scared of his own shadow!

I know it feels mean to wake DH, but trust me, as someone whose body-clock is totally wossnamed, it's best in the long run if it means he gets a decent and restful sleep tonight. (((HUGS))) to you both.

Gotta go now; "walkies" awaits me.;)
