I brought a Alexa show 8 from Amazon and their prime day. They delivered the Show 5 and now are refusing to replace it with the item I ordered and offering me a refund if I return the item. I have explained that this isn’t a viable resolution as I wouldn’t be able to buy the item at the same price and would have to pay an extra £20. Can anyone advise me on where to go with this please? Thank you0

Hi, would be really grateful for your help.
Yesterday my girlfriend bought an iPhone on Shpock and it is locked - so completely unusable, despite being described as unlocked. She used their buyer protection, but it was dropped off in person, so we had to release the funds to get the phone. Buyer protection only works when you get an item delivered apparently, we didn't know the phone was locked until we tried to use our SIM at home.
So clearly we were scammed.
We have been trying to resolve the issue with the seller, but he is claiming the phone is working perfectly fine and is unlocked. We appealed to Shpock, but all we got was an automated message saying that we have to resolve the issue with the seller (despite it being less than an hour since we got the phone).
We tried to resolve it with the seller again, but he is sending my girlfriend - and me - super aggressive messages, saying that he hasn't been paid yet and that if we don't release funds he will go to the police. We have already paid for the phone of course.
Shpock's customer support and policy documentation is non-existent for these situations. It's clearly a place where scammers can get away with anything, and where no support is given to buyers that get ripped off and abused for it.
The seller is now hammering me with messages trying to extort more money. Shpock are being completely unresponsive.
Realistically, what can I do?

My son is in a dispute with PayPal over an order that was dispatched from a company, when it arrived was totally the wrong thing and was battered and damaged. He's sent the original order, photos of what arrived and the damage. PayPal are now asking for an affidavit as proof. The claim itself is for just over £50. How do we get an affidavit and how much is this likely to cost? Thanks - Debbie

ARGOS - Not Accepting Nectar Points and Argos Gift Card in same order!I've tried twice through chat and twitter to get Argos to acknowledge their online store has caused me great inconvenience, unnecessary extra cost and much disappointment because there is no way to use Nectar Points ( which I have been saving enthusiastically to use at this time of year) and an Argos Gift Card (a recent gift) together at the same time on a purchase despite their online Terms & Conditions saying it is acceptable to do so provided you keep within the maximums (£200 worth on Nectar points)!
When you start the order process it shows the linked Nectar Card payment option and the Argos Gift card option and a credit card option to complete the purchase. If you select the Nectar Card option as part payment, the gift card option dissappeared with only the credit card option remaining to add the rest of the payment due. If you choose the Argos Gift Card option the Nectar option dissappears with only the credit card option remaining to to add the rest of the payment due.
Under the "Spending Nectar points online" part of Argos Ts & Cs section 11.16.2 states
"Any remaining balance will need to be paid in full. You can pay any remaining balance online with an Argos Gift Card or credit/debit card (including Argos Card, but not Argos for Business card)."
but their order process is clearly breaching this. Their Customer Services are not interested in helping with or fixing this - only repeating "Sorry" but offering no further resolution. So I have not been able to use my Nectar points and in order not to loose the "discounts" I've had to pay the difference with a credit card but I would like Argos to refund this payment and accept the Nectar points instead. Any ideas of how to progress this?

Hi, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place, still finding my way around. Anyway about 10 days ago I got my new glasses from Specsavers, I've persevered with them every single day but I'm getting terrible headaches, blurriness, red and tired eyes. I know these things are common in new glasses but they are really quite extreme. Anyway, I had an eye test 18 months ago and it only showed a slight difference since my previous test so I didn't buy glasses...... This new prescription is apparently quite a large change but they are unbearable to wear.
My question is, when I go back to specsavers do I have the right to ask them to reglaze the glasses with the prescription from 18 months ago?
I don't really see another option (no pun intended) as I can't drive with these on and the constant headaches are really bringing me down.
Anyway, sorry for rambling on but I hope someone has advice as I've never had problems with glasses like this before.
Thanks and stay safe ❤️
