    Ok so an update, so today was a good day though got completely side tracked from the things I wanted rather needed to do, but hey still time. Went bank, took mum shopping, aww got my christmas present from her early (really needed some biking gear) weathers changing and im still not ready to swap my beloved bike for train (hey its saving me £90 pm) Id sooner face the cold and keep fit for now. My mum and dad decided theyd get me something Id need so got a lovely waterproofs, thermals, gloves and reflective lights. Best buy was my jacket- from £100 to £30..I cant bare to buy if its not in the sale, especially with other peoples money. But I genuinely love it, ill be all snug peddling through towm...super happy with this. Saved myself abit too as I had mentioned I wanted to get the bike gear...bless them! Have had another £2.50 confirmed from quidco though not yet received and took my nan shopping and she gave me £10 and £3 change, which I tried to give back but she gets offended. So have gratefully added this to my £5pd challenge total. All in all has been a nice day. overly tired all i really want to do is warm bath and movie..wish i had some wine but not tonight, will be hot choc instead....wonder what the rest of civilization is doing? I hope theyre having fun!! anyway best get on..have a nice night all xXx

    Good Morning Diaryland!! Happy Sunday!!:hello:

    Off to church later on for remembrance Sunday service, I figure everyone will be feeling quite sorrowful as we remember those who gave there lives and I think that kind of mood just spreads somehow (maybe thats just my crazy thinking but I stand by it) So today im going to do my best to stay upbeat and happy. Whilst still being grateful and remembering those who passed away.

    This morning have paid over £43.20 and updated my signature to reflect this.Still a way to go but hey progress is progress!!

    Trying to think how im going to earn £5 today:think: will sort some bits to flog on bay of the e... also reading Trixxibel diary on Xmas present budgeting, ive decided maybe MSE of me to do as they do and make a spreadsheet of gifts needed and source the best deals, kicking myself as pl@y had 8% cash back and i didnt take advantage then now much less...so yeah thats what I intend to do...Brilliant idea so grateful for that idea. Though Xmas presents will probably be sourced/brought in December with November pay.

    Ah I watched this brief video earlier, its very MSE common sense so thought id share it...going to watch it to keep my spending in check over xmas:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__9-VgvZYWM

    Ok I best get some breakfast and start the xmas list, everyone will be getting a few modest gifts from me...they will hopefully thoughtful and cheap....Have a blessed day everyone:D xX

    Evening Diaryland, Sorry I havent checked in for a bit, been a bit poorly, and naturally when your off your game you have a few over random firefighting to see too...it rains it pours ay...well Im feeling a bit better now..Havent really done so much debt busting this week. Uncle had an emergency so loaned £200 to him, ill get it back still working on that no thing, I am getting better though, but this was emergency times and I was caught off guard lol!! When that comes back in ill use it for either Christmas gift budget or to pay off some of cc2...maybe half and half, see how many of the gifts I can get with £100. Happy I had a sort out earlier and have a few gifts and things I can recycle, not enough that I wont need to spend some cash though. I will be sourcing as cheaply as I can and getting a few thoughtfully low cost gifts where I can. Couples will be getting one gift, and others will be biscuits or bottle of red. Really do need to get organised on this, worked out I have 36 gifts to buy..36!! I know too many people, need to stop being so friendly :rotfl: I kid!! Ill get it covered, Its the thought that counts. Gosh I love Xmas!! To be honest its nice to have a big family, just needs to be managed is all...p$undland here I come:beer:...

    Earned £10 for playing taxi, though had to top up £20 of petrol, but ill keep trips to minimum next month so hopefully wont need to refuel as much...this month has been ridiculous for petrol, spent 3 times as much...Still I have a car and it gets myself and others from a-b so let me just be grateful. If i got anything more economical id be driving a bumper car..hmmm :think:

    Nothing much to report, Ive been ill so ive not been anywhere. Or done anything other than sleep. Ordered total money makeover, I know can listen to it on youtube but figured it would be a good xmas gift for my dad, plus I wanted a cheeky read;) ...

    CC2 0% balance ends on the 10th of December, so I definitely have to pay off that balance by then- thats 23 days to pay off £1584.78....after that its a 17% APR I think...Thats a straight no no! as is getting another 0% card...so yeah this is the mini new challenge...should be fun...shouldve had this cleaned up last month, but oh well no time for shouldve wouldve couldves...all we have is now!! lol!!

    let the games begin!!

    Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend...sorry for my witterings...sweet dreams all xX

  • Hi Shelbi nice to see you, sorry you've been poorly.

    It must be hard to say no, but as long as you're getting it back then why shouldn't you. Although JJ says to only lend if you don't mind not getting it back, otherwise it ruins relationships if it doesn't come back. In fact what she says is to give them the cash but say this is the last time ever. I think there is a part of us that likes helping though, so it's hard.

    But you have done so well with your debt busting. You'll be at the 50% mark soon. :T. I'm not sure where my own 50% mark is, but I think at its height we owed £25k on the CCs, so another £2k and were at 50%, but it will be about 6 months as we are on slo-mo right now. :rotfl:

    Christmas gift ideas sound good. 36! Crikey, good luck. I had a fab idea for teacher pressies when DD was at primary. I bought some plain white mugs, then filled them with the sweets from a big tin, then wrapped them with Xmas florist cellophane and some red florist ribbon which I got from eebugs. It was great value and we had lots left over :):). I did it another year with cheap tumblers. Can be great fun. Another time We bought some big cups and put them in a gift bag with hot choc sachets, a pack of marshmallows and some chocolate. I also used to pick things up in the sales as I have a bag in my wardrobe full of gift bits ready for that unexpected occasion. Have great fun, and you're right £land can be good for that. Don't forget there's a Christmas gift thread on MSE with some excellent ideas.

    Right I'll stop blathering and get on, got to get ready for interview soon, it's not nice out there. Better find the brolly.

    Have a great week xx
