Thanks Shelbi - JJ is judge judy. I know she does the crazy judge show, but she's written a couple of books and talks a lot of sense. I wish I'd read them when I was a youngster.
Ta for the congrats. I'm so pleased and relieved :-)OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Happy New year diaryland, I have been gone for a little while, in true Shelbi form I did a Pre Christmas slide off the MSE wagon....too much money spent on food, presents and going out...
But I am back, quick catch up on my so called life- (In no particular order). Had exam, Christmas celebrations, met a new man, had some emergency purchases, got a small payrise, didnt clear credit card instead switched it to a 0% balance fee transfer card with 0% on purchases and interest for 12 months- balance now slightly higher than the original balance, but ill soon swipe that back down. Target is to clear by February at the latest, started with a payment of £35.10 today. Already shown in my signature. Debt free date of 26th June 2015 still stands, I know im a little behind but still the optimist I guess.
For Christmas I recieved one of those money jars you have to take a can opener too to get open, this will be my christmas fund money. Have created a annual budget trying to take into account of all the funds I get, and saving for things before they happen so this doesnt happen again, allocated christmas Budget is £300. so will be putting £25 in coins in the pot each month, already has about £10 in it.
Also will be trying something different from the usual Dave Ramsey method a little less extreme, I dont have an emergency fund, but will pay a tithe and then myself after- a bit of savings, since my debt is 0%. Ill be honest I dont know if it will work, its something I was taught in church but im going to give it a try, already it helps me not feel like Im just paying bills. Must be a psychological thing. so yes thats how far Ive gotten.
Will post up my budget a bit later, it has alot of slack built in so any remaining funds left over at the end of the month will go towards credit card...and then onto saving up a sum to pay of the dreaded final debt. I have 175 days to clear £17200.50. As per Ill take up challenges, NSD, trying to scrimp on my budget as much as I can, bargin hunt, use the word No- its not in my budget & will do by best to clear it in the following 6months- anythings possible. Im writing this im feeling motivated again...I hope everyone has had a great start to the new year....all my love...Shelbi xXDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

Today will aim for a NSD..oh and £4 into the scp...have about £80 to last me till next pay day..so just have to last 20days...good time to try for NSD till then... Hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday xXDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

Well diary its been an eventful few days...but ill stick to the money stuff. As far as extra income is concerned I haven't made any this week. Had some nsd on account ive been ill...silver linings I guess. Did have to buy travel for tomorrow as I don't fancy cycling to work with my chest just yet..first time I used automated top up (on account trying to save time/laziness) so got £10 for £5..happy days!:D Will pick that up tomorrow on route to work. Have ordered some oasis so I can get my mum to make our funeral flowers for upcoming funeral. One of her many skills bless her, will save a fortune by DIY :money: ..what can I say wreaths are expensive :shhh: lol
Time to get serious..Have purchased YNAB, slightly annoyed as I missed the 75% sale but couldnt wait for summer for the next one.. I know that if Im going to achieve this im going to need to keep exact account of where my monies going, so hopefully the added expense will pay for itself (fingers crossed). so on laptop and phone...ready to up my game and do better. Other than that absolutely nothing new to report, I just need pay day to come so I can make some headway..DFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

ha cut my self off, well in other news have downloaded fitness pal and started to try eat healthy/less in a bid to lose a bit of weight...ive discovered im a secret eater and cant seem to stop going over my daily allowance. Have already made lunch for tomorrow in a bid to save some £'s and lose some lb's. I have a good stone and a half to lose & want to do this by summer, when there will be no jumpers and jeans to hide my crimes  obviously wont be joining the gym...it will be another DIY jobby. making full use of free apps, bikes, parks and old fitness dvd's that are gathering dust.;);) Gonna be a fun 6months thats for sure:rotfl: ...Anyways enough of my rambling hope y'all have a wonderful evening..G'night xXDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

Afternoon Diaryland... So NSD Today has started well, biked in (bit cold and windy but worth it, exercise did me good too plus saving of £3.40 (every little helps). £1.85 received from squidco and paid to Cc.
YNAB working out well except I have a big red minus amount, a constant reminder of the hole im in.. definitely a motivator!
So tonight i need to sort my budget and get strict, have been reading NSK diary for some inspiration....Its time to go hard or go home. Need to cut things down to minimums and increase debt payment... So new tactic this month- work out what I need, real budget and pay over the rest to credit card on payday, need to put this debt reduction first. Will post up revised budget this evening. Other than that nothing to report just trying to not spend money, working and keeping happy....Happy Monday everyone, hope you all have a fab and wonderful day xXDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T
