I love your goals Shelbi.
I too have a small £300 cc that must bite the dust. I need to pull my finger out and get on with it.
Keep up the good work.

Good morning Diaryland,
Feels like ive been away longer than I have, so far this month I have been trying to live as frugally as I can, But have had some set backs, dinner out with the girls £25, It was supposed to be a cheap and cheerful one, had budgeted myself a whole crisp £10, (im doing sober October so should have been plenty) but went to a place in the city where cheap and cheerful wasnt an option and £25 was best I could manage.. have won £25 on the lotto yay!! getting luckier by the day lol... that was paid straight to my card, really do still need to work harder to save money, and not spend. Its tough but im working on it. £6 odd received from quidco also onto cc2. Will upload some bits to Ebay. starting to get lazy in myself, need to get out of this rut and be a bit more proactive.
having cut out my hair dressers and eyebrow waxing ive been embracing diy and alot of I cant be arsed methodology, figured this makes me feel a bit crusty and lazy, I may be clawing my way out of debt but that doesnt mean i need to look like it...I just need to get a bit creative..eyebrow threading is about £3-4 every 6weeks, not that I do it that often, yesterday I used my boots points to buy some eyebrow stencil set and am going to attempt to do things myself...im nervous but has a little saving there, also on petrol as I have to drive to the good salon...will pick up the set today. Study is going well, am enjoying it, work is also good...weight needs a bit of work...I'll get there. Work in progress thats me..hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday...SxDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

Great to read your post Shelbi. Wow you have done great - look at that signature. Your post reads like my thoughts - need to step up a bit and watch my weight and get with the programme :rotfl: its so easy to get a bit lazy. (I'm on here as I'm putting off last nights washing up! - and its lovely to chat to everyone, of course).
Well done on the lottery win :T and glad the studying going well - that's my afternoon sorted today - its a real confidence booster. I've also just uploaded my CV to an agency. Its all the little things that keep us going in the right direction - not the big steps that I keep putting off.:)

Ok so quick update of the signature another £71.99 gifted to CC2, feel like every penny I earn goes to the debt monster, Its so quick to build up and slightly longer to break down. Have used some of my emergency fund to get ahead in the debt game and other various bits and bobs, am now concious that with no credit card i may need to build it back up, esp if im following the Dave Ramsey plan, keep listening to his podcasts and I keep going off track then get nervous incase Murphy moves in, am thinking may need to hold back £600 from this month pay cheque to keep as an emergency fund, and follow the steps properly. This would mean that CC2 will be completed November but i will be gifting myself some peace of mind. especially over the xmas period. I dont want to have to get out the glue and stick my credit card together in case of emergency. Im being really lazy recently, need to buck up my ideas and get a handle on this thing. Today I spent £14.98 on my sis b'day present (3/4), my nans bday present and parents anniversary gift. Thats all the gifts upto xmas sorted, was pretty proud of that. Sister wanted a candyfloss maker at £30:eek: (I dont think so) she got a lolly maker for £2.49 which will save money on icecream van and if we uses juice will be much better for her teeth:D along with a phone case cover and a money box (she needs to learn the art of saving) :money: ....eyebrow thing didnt work out exactly, think ill need bit more practice :rotfl:
Im bored out of my tree, why am I not debt free yet lol...a work in progress that's me lol! Ok im waffling again best go get some sleep...wish you all sweet dreams xXDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

Thanks Shelbi, but I still feel like a bit of a flop at times. It's hard not to be wudda cudda shudda, especially when people around you seem to have done the sensible thing and not built up the debt. However, when I come on MSE it really grounds me and it's lovely to be reminded to look back and see how far we've all come. It seems like a long lonely trudge up the hill until I read threads that make saving fun. It's kind of all about money but not at all about money - perhaps about making the most of your money.
Hmm, I'm rambling now, perhaps time to pop over to my own thread.

Thanks SS1K, you're so right thats exactly how I feel, when comparing myself to everyone else then I come on here with you lovely people and i realise im not the only one whose made a couple of mistakes but better than that were all clever enough to be trying to fix it, It makes me smile and makes this whole journey fun, which is incredible considering the task ahead...i love it, I love reading peoples diaries, getting inspired, motivated and just feeling normal-ish lol! Hun I do love a good ramble so feel please feel free any time...makes for much more interesting readings than the twitterings of my mind I can tell you
