Okay so I spoke to soon, cycling to work bike making usual squeaky noise , starts to become really difficult to peddle and everyone is whizzing past me even though im giving it some welly to get up the hill....it wins and I take it to the bike shop...the kind man asked me when I last had it serviced..tell him that I never have (its only 2 years old) my brake pads are worn within an inch of there life apparently ...along with a few other things that I have no idea what hes going on about- just caught the end "will cost £70":eek:...
    Murphy you little trickster you!!

Have left the bike at the shop and will folk out the unexpected £70:doh:wondering if this counts as emergency, probably not just my sheer negligence:o...so am going to delay my hair appointment for another week (meaning only one visit to pay out for till payday rather than two)..please lord let my hair cope, will be putting the do-rag on as soon as i get home every night to help keep it in shape..& will venture through the month making small PAD to credit card 2, I really dont want to be caught short..hen night in 2 weeks (thankfully preloaded €200 onto fx card- so grateful I did this) I will not be spending beyond that if I can help it...Still cheerful and optimistic, just going to have to watch my step until payday:)..only goal for July- Get through the month without going overdrawn & without dipping into emergency fund...really did want to get cc2 in under 3k as well:undecided...Still have the d3 payment to come out too- £450.25 (7th ish)..debt will be coming down... still happy and grateful...sun is shining, bike broke again near the shop (weird) and have no idea why but im feeling good...worse things have happened...gotta keep chugging on..right I best get back to work..Hope y'all enjoying the sunshine guys x

Ok guess i went wrong somewhere in my calculations...so have made an additional £28.09 to cc2 to bring me back under £22,999.08 overall debt- i know a dd is coming to pay d3 which wouldve taken me back under but I really couldnt leave it above- its a psychological thing I think...goshh im sad:rotfl: ...right all is right in the world now..next months aim to get it down to 21k...need to find some extra income to start chipping away...Its going DOWN!

Right best go do something, sorry for the ramblings :) Xx

    Hi Shelbi

Just dropping in. Good to see you are under £23k now. It's funny how just that 1 penny can make a world of difference. :T

I am currently at £21,187.87 including the car loan, and I'm not sure I can send all of that to Room 101 by 2015 but I'll have a go. ;)

My achievable target for this time next year is to have enough saved to cover my credit card debt. My card debt is £15.75k and savings are £6.5k so I have exactly £9256 to pay off or save to cover that. Then I want to build up a safety fund and pay off the cards completely (and burn them!).

I've not made it any easier as I've just reduced my hours/pay for something less stressful so I will have to go find a 'make more money' thread :rotfl:

    Hi ho .....:)

ps. Completely agree about the psychological thing with the figures. And if you have any ideas for extra income. I've been watching nectar ads and now started swag bucking - it's only pennies but going in the right direction

Sounds like you have had a great time, gotta live a bit as well as pay debts otherwise you'll go mad. Good idea about the shorts, my husband did that with his jeans (much to my girls discust) but they looked OK, better than throwing them out.

Hope you have a good week

    Hi Supersaver1000 & nannytomany

Hope you both had a fab & fun weekend!! Supersaver you can totally do 9k of the credit cards, even if it all doesnt make it to room 101 I know youll give it your best shot, Ill be sending mine there too..lets fill it up!

I have seen some money making threads… my fave so far was things you never thought you could sell..Someone actually sold old cartax disc they were going to throw..its brill..today I sold an empty perfume bottle for £3, not much but would’ve thrown it in the recycling…now recycled with perks…worth a look… been thinking about ways to get some more income in myself…been considering a second job- bar work or something like that…not 100% sure, do know I want to be put on the voting counter list when it comes round, my friend did it, she got paid twice, once from work & then from local council, she sid it was a ok time as well…maybe something to think about.
    Other possiblities-

    Avon, Tupperware, Ann Summers rep
Selling some carrot cakes…Id definitely buy some...love carrot cake!
Quizzes, surveys- ideal for lunch at a desk
Open up a bank account that offers cash incentive
    Ebay until theres nothing left.
Think I need to find a money making thread too…aww scope make £10 a day thread ones…those mse’s get creative ;)…If you find anything useful hun please let me know, ill do the same…

Nannytomany, Hi hun, Thank you, the shorts came out well but I cut up skinny jeans so when I roll them up theyre a little snug on the thighs lol…still better than parting with £20 so ill suffer it…hopefully I’ll shrink a little over the next two weeks… Your right always better than throwing them away…I even kept the legs, going to use them to make door draft stoppers:rotfl:

Hope you lovelies are well will be popping by tonight to read what ive missed…x

Payment update-DD payment taken today £450.25 to D3 and VSP £9.49 paid to CC2...also banked £26.34 will transfer this payment to cc2 too once my account is credited. Still trying not to spend, its hard...will transfer another £1.80 to cc2 and that will bring it down to £4499.99...using those mind trick on myself again...every little helps for sure...

Funny it was my nephews birthday yesterday, I had brought him a stuffed toy and card, then I saw my parents gift to him a beautiful gold bracelet with his name engraved. I felt guilty and decided id buy him a gold st cristopher to go with it:wall:...shops were closed thankfully at this point, when I woke up in the morning I couldve slapped myself for being so silly:o. I think it was my ego...I really dont have the money to buy such luxury gifts thats how I got into this mess in the first place.

I felt guilty about not spending more on his gift, but then thought to myself...hes a baby he doesnt care what I buy him..It was just me thinking people will think im a poor aunty or tight...truth is i no longer care, on reflection im sure he'd prefer an aunty who isnt in debt upto her eyeballs when he grows up...Im really happy I didnt buy the chain and unashamedly offered his new cuddly friend instead, he loved it too...turns out he liked the wrapping paper most....couldve saved myself a few quid there& just gave him that!!:rotfl:

Well done Shelbi on no buying the St Christopher, would probably have got lost anyway, if its anything like this household. I think you are right children either love the paper or the box the present was in and would it be lovely if it turned out to be his best toy that he couldn't live without, wise choice indeed. :money:
