Not sure how much the clothing grant is now but when my daughter went back to work after splitting with her ex she got £200 - but it had to be spent in a specific shop and she had to tell them exactly what she was going to buy: ie 2 skirts, 3 tops, tights, shoes etc. Don't know if that is the norm or just where she was.

hiya ive filled the budgeting loan form in at worst there just going to take a few pounds a week back out of my benefits will be posting it today on the way back from school run
received a call from tax credits saying as my income is changing my payments will be stopped so im assuming i wont get a payment this week she took of me what benefits ive claimed for so they all the info and said it shouldnt take long to be re calculated is that the norm though to completely stop it
glad i got my sons things he needed when i got the little bit of backpay he needed new school shirts and shoes ,my freezers full so im not worrying about food
the £20 i get on tue willbe split between gas electric and stuff for the fridge
i think ive come this far so it should be easy to get through the last hurdle
also does anyone no will my housing benefit be effected the lady at tax credits said no but i never belive them 100% xx

wow, it all takes so much to get it all set up and in place, doesn't it? Just think ahead a few months when it's all sorted and the money is a regular thing and all is smooth running.
Don't forget about that food bank if you need it again, don't run that freezer totally empty in case there is a longer than expected delay on your benefits….the money you have will be well spent making sure you have electricity in the event of a benefits delay. (of course we all know how super efficient benefits payments are and there are never unexpected dalays *cough*. :D )
PAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.
Now to start saving...it's a whole new world!!

I would check with housing benefit to make sure it's still being paid, they're a law unto themselves at times.

You're doing great, and good on you for making a future for yourself and your son.

hi yes but hopefully it wont take to long
ive just been informed by the cab the foodbank will only help you 3 times in 2 months now as theres not enough to go round so if i did need it dont think they could help .
freezer is jam packed its just the fridge bits that will run out .still looking at switching gas and electric suppliers think thats my mission today
it would have to change again just as were coming up to school hoilidays wanted to take little man out for the day oh well
oh no they dont ever cause mix ups or holds up ever ;)

and yes just rang them they said it shouldnt make a difference as long as its done with in four weeks or something but im going to keep checking my landlords got the rent on time just incase xx

You're very welcome, Natalie - I've just sent both links to my daughter to give her some ideas for next week as well :D.

I'm going to be away for a few days, so she's got to cope with all three of her kids on her own for the time being ;). She'll be :wall: by next weekend!

Not been on this thread for a few days. I was a bit worried when you hadn't posted. Great to see you back and getting things sorted out for the future.
