Natalie - don't let some people put you off form posting as you may be able to get lots of helpful and friendly advice over the coming months if you need it.

When you have a lot on your mind just getting through the day is enough and speaking personally even though libraries have free internet our library is many miles away - so not always as easy as it sounds - and why should you anyway when you have other important stuff going on for yourself and your son.

Onwards and upwards as they say.

  • NATALIE lovey, you posted as soon as you were able to and that is good enough for most of us, we're just relieved that you're OK and are feeling able to be in touch again and that you're getting your life back and sorting out all the problems. There's an old saying that 'you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time' and it's sad that there are just a few ruffled feathers but I'm sure they are pleased really that you are in touch and thriving. You're trying your best girlie and NO ONE can ask more of you than that can they? Head high petal, and onwards and upwards, keep on with the hard work and you'll soon be out of the tunnel and standing in the sun, Lyn xxx.

Hi Natalie - when I moved from Huyton to Prescot (not far from where you live) I double checked Utility Providers via 'Energy Angels' to make sure that I got the best deal for my circumstances - they'll also give you another contact to do the same for Broadband Suppliers.

Try this weblink - http://www.energy-angels.co.uk/ - they should be able to help you :D.

Similar restrictions were put on my daughter's college course when she went. As she's designated as 'her son's carer', she was only allowed to do a maximum of 16hrs per week which had to include any 'Work Experience' or 'Extra Study Hours' connected with her Course. It took her much longer to complete the entire Course than some of the others who were studying alongside her.

Good Luck with the Focus Interview - might be a good idea as they will lay out exactly what you can, or can't do. May even come up with better options for you.

Good luck with the interview today, I hope they can come back with some positive news.
Definitely look to switch your energy supplier, there are a few comparison sites as well as that helpful link you've already been given.
Also, look on topcashback.co.uk, they often do offers for cashback. Find out who is your cheapest supplier, then check to see if topcashback will give you cashback for switching via them. (clear the cookies on your browser though before you go via topcashback or the cashback might not go through if you've visited the supplier's site before hand.) I think uswitch offer cashback too, but don't quote me on that. The cashback means you'll get 'paid' £xx simply for switching suppliers. :)
