Fingers crossed. It always annoys me how these big companies and government departments are very quick to take money off people, but take their time when it comes to giving help/money to people who desperately need it.0

Got a phonecall late yesterday saying I've not qualified for any more help with my gas so I won't be able to access here anymore as the only option I have is to sell my phone if they take it it's scratched to death lol
I just want to thank everyone for all the help and support I've received it's been nice to think some people do care
Thankyou xx0 -

Sold my DVDs instead of phone so got £5 on the gas with it
Was a bit worried about my phone going
Spoke to housing benefit today and they've received a payment today so in assuming that means everything's been sorted and I'll start getting paid next week like they said
Xx0 -
I'm glad you didn't sell the phone. It's important that you keep that. Weren't you supposed to be getting some money back from the bank by today? And the DWP?0
-
Hi yes been in to the bank and asked about getting the charges back there saying that I was told it takes 7 days so that's Monday and the dwp said on it before Monday so at least I no its only a few days
and I'll be sorted .going to check the bank again tommorow I have dwp my new details so money is paid into the new account just incase the bank charged me again
Feel more possitive today think it's because hb sorted out so I no my claim must be done xx0 -
Hi Natalie,
Please don't get rid of your phone, you need that incase school need to contact you.
Glad you found something else to sell. When you get paid, put some aside rather than buying your wee boy the latest DVD out so you have an emergency pot….even if it's only £20 or so to start with, you know how hard these last few days have been, if there is ever a screw up again with benefits then at least you'll be able to put a few quid on the gas and leccy to keep you going.
If you want to treat your son, take him 'treasure hunting'. My DD and I go regularly. Find a charity shop and see what you can find. My daughter has had some fabulous games from our local charity shop and they've costed about £1.50 each max. Books are under 50p and a lot of them are like new. She gets a whole lot more 'stuff' for much, much less than I would spend on one toy if I was to buy it new. Plus, you have the fun of hunting in the charity shop for it.
Rather than £15 on a DVD you could put a tenner in an emergency pot and have a fiver to go treasure hunting at the charity shop with.PAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.
Now to start saving...it's a whole new world!!0 -
Hi yes that's what I thought so I routed out the DVDs think I got 35p for each one managed to get £5 so put that straight on gas going to see if I've got any more when's sons in bed and taje them so can get milk and bits .
I like the sound of treasure hunting sure my son would love that
Thanks xx0 -
I wil definately be putting money away somewhere so I've always got it to fall back on .been horrible but just the last stretch now I can't wait for a cup of tea lol.xx0
